  1. Im currently trying to find a way to make my dealer investigate more than the saying "yeah we heard of the issue and there is nothing we can do". BULLS*$& lol. I'm not settling for that statement. I want my truck fixed and fixed right.
  2. Dang thank god I'm under full warranty still. Truck is going in this Thursday. Thanks for the input.
  3. I just started to notice a shutter on my truck driving it the other day. about 15,500 miles and just noticed it. 6.2 8 spd. i've have my truck in for a transmission software update and relearn for the harsh clunking when cold going in to drive or reverse. This helped quite a bit and I was pretty happy with the truck up until now. I will be cruising down the highway, no load, cruise set at 70 - and I can watch the rpms fluctuate about 100 rpms or so. Every time the tach needle rises a tad (consistently every 3 seconds or so) there is a crazy shutter (steering wheel and dash vibrates). Sounds like torque converter from what I've read so far in this thread?
  4. It was a software update, unfortunately I don't know what the update was. I'm sure on the new trucks GM is putting out they will have the new software installed is my assumption.
  5. Just had my transmission updated with the new program. No more clunking after the truck sits overnight when shifting in to drive or reverse.... for now.
  6. Thank you so much for this! Taking in my truck next week to have it serviced for this issue. It has been driving me nuts ever since I bought the truck last year.
  7. Excellent information! I plan on converting to E85 compatible after a few more years to use up my warranty. I'd love to reap the full benefits of running boost along with E85!

    Detailed Truck

Added nerf bars. Although I like the clean look without them, they save the side bolsters on my seats from the constant sliding in and out with the bars. Also the short girlfriend appreciates them!
  10. Little update on mine: front air dam removed, 2.5" level installed in front, running boards, window tint, muffler swap.
  11. So I found the clip in the sun-glass holder and it does make a similar sound when I tap it with my finger. I couldn't get the noise to come back during my short commute on my lunch break.. It doesn't help that there are 45+MPH wind gusts today in Kansas so it is a bit more difficult to isolate interior noises. I noticed there is some grease of some-sort on the plastic clip. Maybe I moved it around enough to get some grease trapped behind it to "damped" the rattle. More investigation shall continue later.
  12. Thanks Jim! I'll have a look on my lunch break, at least it is a very simple fix if that is what's causing the rattle!
  13. This will be my second posting regarding quality issues of my new 2015 Silverado that I have owned for 7 months. The first issue being the warped dash piece that GM has yet to make a fix for. Recently I've heard a rattle coming from around the sunroof, it almost sounds like a wiring harness is just bouncing around in there. Anybody else have this problem? Maybe it only exists on models with a sunroof? I'll bring it to my dealer's attention next oil change.
  14. Funny that you brought this up, I just recently heard from a buddy that owns a new F-150 with the same problem. I spoke too soon, eh?
