  1. My 2014 Z71 LT 1500 does the same thing. When I'm stopped completely and its idling I've noticed the rpms fluctuate like you said.
  2. So the fuses were blown. Replaced and they blew immediately. Replaced the relay and the fuses again. Fuses blew again. So I’m assuming some sort of short. Could it be the bcm. Any suggestions?
  3. Had this issue on my 2014. Took me 3 years of going up there and the warranty about to expire and me refusing to pick it up after nothing being found. I forced the shop foreman to drive with me to see so I could replicate. Ended up being the torque converter. Had the issue since I drove the truck off the lot 3 years prior and 25 miles on it.
  4. Good Evening All, I have a 2014 Silverado 1500 LT Z71. Aftermarket LED headlights and tail lights. Never have had any issues with them but yesterday my running lights just randomly stopped working. My low beams come on but that is it. No side markers up front and no brake lights in the back when I'm in drive or when I remote start the truck. The brakes work when pressed but at night they don't light up until they are pressed. Turn signals work up front and in the back. Reverse lights work. License plate light works. I saw a video on youtube of a guy who has a 2016 who had the same issues in the rear and he bypassed it using a butt connector but it wasn't detailed enough for me to do based off the video and quality. Doing that also wouldn't fix the fact my front running lights won't work (the amber blinkers). I could live with the front ambers not lighting up but I'm more concerned with the brake lights not illuminating in drive at night. I know the running lights are controlled by the BCM. Is there a good chance this has gone bad? Anything I can do to test and see or is this something I need a dealer to test. Looking for any suggestions. Thanks
  5. I actually just did the same. I found a 2017 same trim which is reverse tartan. Only difference is it has leather seats and mine is cloth. Now this may be a dumb question. Does it matter if it is a 2017 or do I need to specifically find a 2014?
  6. Awesome thank you. Looks like I will have to go looking at some trucks at dealerships to find the console and same trim that I have. Thanks!
  7. Alright guys so I've done tons of digging and I apologize. But all I am seeing is people discussing for the newer year silverado's. I have a 2014. How exactly do you go about getting the exact part list to do the center console swap?
  8. I had that happen to me on my 2014 Silverado. Mine was the #8 and happened at 8,000 miles...
  9. Well after 2 technicians drove it they weren't able to replicate it and told me i needed to come pick it up. I arrived and said I wanted to drive it again with a technician and would wait until one was available. Didn't even get on the interstate for 15 seconds and was able to get my truck to make the noise. Also was able to have it continue to do so for the remainder of the test drive. Technician believes it's the torque converter. So that's where I am at now. Glad I was able to get my truck to do it and not get the scapegoat excuse of "could not duplicate". I'll keep you all updated. Thanks for the responses.
  10. Link to the videos You can see and hear around the 9 second mark and 2000 rpm the transmission makes a whining noise as well again at the 15 second mark. Again you can hear the whining under acceleration around the 5 and 9 second mark. For the above video you can hear the grinding noise around the 13 second mark while at higher speeds. The noise and vibration feels like you drove off the side of the road on the interstate where the safety strips alert you of a lane departure.
  11. Hello everyone, Well I took my 2014 Chevy Silverado 1500 up to the dealership yesterday for transmission issues. When accelerating around 30mph the transmission makes a high whining noise around 2000 rpm almost like its slipping and the truck shakes back and forth. Then when on the interstate on cruise control around 65-70 you will hear a grinding noise every few minutes. Also when you slow down from the 60-70 mph range to around 30 mph and accelerate the grinding noise becomes more apparent. When I dropped the truck off yesterday I showed the service guy video of the grinding as well as what I believe to be slipping and he said "Yeah that sounds like it is slipping". Received a phone call this morning from the same service technician saying they were not able to replicate the issue. That the transmission guy said that is normal when it switched between V4 and V8 mode. It's amazing I have had this truck and driven it for 76000 plus miles and have never heard that whining or grind noise. I asked how long they test drove it and he said 10 minutes. I told him they need to drive it around longer and actually go on the interstate to hear and see what it is doing. This is not the first time I've taken my truck up there for transmission problems and I am not picking this truck up again until they find the issue. The first time was for rough shifting to which they said was normal. This is my first Chevy I ever have bought or owned. Bought it brand new from the dealer. I must say that with how I keep getting treated with the "can not replicate" issue as a scapegoat for not truly trying to satisfy the customer is getting old. Especially being I have videos in which you can see the rpms and hear the whine up and hear a grind noise. This will most likely be the last Chevy product I purchase. If anyone has any ideas and doesn't mind listening to the videos I have I would appreciate it. I will have to post a link to youtube since the video will be to big to post here. Thanks
  12. Do you by any chance still have all the part numbers for everything I would need to convert the jumpseat to this? I see that they have changed numbers for the parts and I am not quite understanding where to find the correct trim (the grey that you have in this picture)
  13. Hey man great job! I have a 2014 Silverado 1500 same exact interior as you except my seats are a different color grey. Everything else like trim and stitching is the same. Do you by any chance know what all the part numbers are I would need in order to do this swap from a jump seat to the center console? Thanks!
