HID Headlight Bulbs / HID Projector Retrofit
Herd Thinners replied to MotoMedic's topic in 2014-2018 Silverado & Sierra Mods
On the DRL s from diode dynamics they have an adaptor that runs from the remote box. It has three wires two being red which I assume both are power. Can I run one to my OEM DRL wires so the turn on like stock. The other to the battery so on days when the parking lights coming on I can manually turn them off which turns off my DRLs then with the remote turn my DRLs on again. Orrrr does that require a relay- 3,357 replies

Assist Steps / Running Boards / Nerf Bars
Herd Thinners replied to Cholt2322's topic in 2014-2018 Silverado & Sierra Mods
Oh boy I just dropped the hammer on my zero percent interest credit card for some amps. Hope to install them next weekend. The wiring still goes through the drivers side floor correct. If I'm not mistaken there is a groment there already under the carpet or do you use the supplied one and drill a new hole. Anyone spare some guidance. -

That is a good idea MFLeury. I just read ever page on this thread. Now I'm considering Amps. Good lord you people make me spend money. Is there a place here to list the OEM stuff or Craig's list the best place. I'm guessing they sell for around 275. Anyone know the best place to snag Amps. No one gives mil/Leo discounts lol. -

I'm torn between iron cross HD or Ici magnum. Anyone know how far each drop from the truck. Quality. Do you like them. Thanks. Then I'll find the project by selling my OEM -

HID Headlight Bulbs / HID Projector Retrofit
Herd Thinners replied to MotoMedic's topic in 2014-2018 Silverado & Sierra Mods
Question. It may have been covered but I missed it. 2015 Sierra. Halogen projectors with LED. I don't want to touch my stock lights in case one day I sell it. I have two options. 1.buy eagle eye or another aftermarket as the sell my truck light and lights until I complete my retro or 2. Buy the expensive OEM lights. My problem and questions are : if I buy the OEM they are HID which means I need different wiring in my truck to install them being I have halogen but if I retro the HID does the connections into the sierra's halogen wiring become workable or am I screwed because the assemble is HID not halogen Basically does retro fitting only use the assembly shell. Help lol.- 3,357 replies

2014+ Parts Diagrams / Service Manual
Herd Thinners replied to MotoMedic's topic in 2014 - 2019 Silverado & Sierra
Does anyone know the the part numbers for the left and right OEM headlights for a 2014-2015 GMC Sierra. I want to do my own retrofit but wasn't sure if I had to buy the whole assembly. Thank in advance. -
Uhhhhhg figures. I think I'll lay the pods in and forego the dome lights for now. Just saw the Instagram pics. So you busted open the ridgids, very slick. Do you or should you lay some silicone around the edges. Also where do you run the halo wires once installed, do they 3m directly on the lights. What LEDs did you use. . Sorry for the basic questions
-
Mike, Question for you. The interior lights. I know you use YK glow pods for the foot wells. Is there a bulb for the dome lights that will change with the pod color changes or am I out of luck unless I want to do some major mods. I'm not even having luck finding red bulbs let alone ones that will change colors for the domes. Thanks bro.

LED Front Light Bars & Pods
Herd Thinners replied to svtkidd23's topic in 2014-2018 Silverado & Sierra Mods
I wanted the Amber/white combo by ridgid. It's not curved. Curved would look better I'm sure. Uhhhhg. Any ideas. -

A 30 inch bar obviously fits under the grill of the GMC Sierra my question is does it have to be curved or does the straight bar fit nicely also. Just getting ready to drop the hammer -

For the ridgid Amber combo. 1. Being the bar switches from white to amber will the wireless remote work. 2. If I link it to the Intel link garage door button will it work maybe push once white push a second Amber third off. I'm asking I have no idea. 3. I read someone doing the cig lighter center console install has anyone else. Wonder how extensive or a pain it is. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. -

I have a few questions. I am going to install the e30 ridged spot/combo a/w. I do not want to cut into my dash so my alternatives: wireless or garage door opener link with the wireless connection or install a switch in one of the cigarette outlets in the center consol. 1. Being the bar switches from white to amber will the wireless remote work. 2. If I link it to the Intel link garage door button will it work maybe push once white push a second Amber third off.
