  1. I didn't put too many miles on it after t he oil change. My brother in law now owns the truck so time will tell. All I know is what the dealer told me, but whatever they did, the shudder is gone.
  2. I had my torque converter changed early on with my 2015 Denali. Then an oil change ar around 55,000 and that fixed it the second time. They found out it wasn't the converter, it was the oil they were using. Makes no sense to me, but the oil change fixed the shutters.
  3. I had a truck that would quit then start up and go. Turned out to be a wire on the fuel pump that wasn't plugged onto the spade connector. It was just laying against it. Hit a bunp, it would fall away then reconnect.
  4. I can tell you one very important thing. Keep documenting everything that is said and done with dates and times. It's worth a lot in court if it goes that far and is worth it's weight in gold when arguing with anyone about the issue.
  5. I found leaving half of the nozzle out of the filler does help.
  6. Stick with the new converter at least. That's what fixed mine!
  7. They didn't tune anything for me, they just replaced the converter and all is well now.
  8. OK, no local. That's probably a good idea anyhow, everybody has given good marks on Black Bear. I'll give it a go.
  9. OK guys, your getting me excited. The truck is a year old and I just had the new torque inverter installed because of the studder when trying to downshift thingie going on. I am not pleased with the way the truck shifts now and never have been, so that improvement would be great by itself. I don't know if there is a tune guy in my area but I'm going to find out. No matter what I end up doing, I will come back and tell y'all about it. One more quick question, is the Wife going to like the truck better after the tune, because she drives it now and then.
  10. What kind of performance enhancements can be expected from a tune? I tuned my old 2001 Sierra C-3 with a 6.0 liter engine and didn't see much difference except in shift points.
  11. My drivers seat used to clunk when I turned sharp. Not all the time though which made it more elusive. Turns out the bolts they used to hold the seat down were too long and bottomed out before pulling the seat tight to the floor. Instead of putting in shorter bolts; they used shims. Clunk is gone, but SHIMS?
  12. So it's kind of like the Glock trigger safety. You can't shoot the gun until you push on the little built in rocker doo dad while your pulling the trigger. Yup, makes about that much sense.
