  1. Thanks for all the replies gentlemen. Sounds like I'm stuck with it unless I want to subdivide the music into 5 folders of 6k songs or less. I wish it would just only do that when I have the audio source set to USB. Sounds like a software engineer took a coding shortcut, as there is no reason why it should announce when I'm on XM or FM and am trying to make a phone call with one push of the voice button. BTW, I should have been more specific, its 30k files, not necessarily 30k songs. Some are smaller in size such as comedy skits, etc. Also, many are oldies songs which inherently consume less space since songs where much shorter back then and are also at lower bit rates. It all averages out though.
  2. Can anyone provide any input on ride change/quality with the 1.5" kit? Also, I know these are trucks, but how did it affect fuel mileage by lifting the nose up into the air a bit more? Also, last but not least, what about the factory warranty if I install myself, will it void?
  3. So I loaded all my mp3's (30k) onto a 64gb flash drive the other day. However, now when I hit the voice command button, the truck tells me "the number of media files...blah...blah". It does this every time I start the truck. Does anyone know how to shut this off, OR how many songs is the limit to make this occur? Thanks!
  4. Well, props to mafd2 for pointing me in the right direction. I FOUND what was rattling. Its a little metal cam piece in the hinge mechanism of both rear seats. If the seat is all the way up its engaged, as well if its all the way down. Since my sub box is just barely not letting the seat sit down all the way (even moved forward), its free to rattle. See pics below. Now what to do. There really isn't anyway to tighten it as it's put in via a rivet, and there is really no way to drill in out and replace with a bolt to tighten it. Its pivoting on the rivet. My plan is to lift the seats so they will sit down all the way. I had to do this with my previous truck (which was a Ford and the seat wouldn't lock down). I plan to place a few flat washers (appox 1/4in thick) under the seat brackets and give it a shot. Will update when I'm done tomorrow.
