  1. Has anyone ordered a '16 for their buy back replacement? Going thru it now and there's nothing in inventory that meets my criteria. Also, I noticed something this weekend while towing the boat. The vibration was basically nonexistent in the console and was concentrated totally in the steering wheel. It's a fairly large boat so I'm sure the tongue weight is a few hundred pounds.
  2. This is exactly what my truck does. It's had several tires replaced, road forced, new shocks, new left rear axle, etc but it's still there. The dealer said the tires were well within spec after the last visit but the more miles I drive the worse it seems to get. It's still in the 70-80 mph range. I've filed online with BBB and received a call from GM the following day. Waiting to hear back on a possible resolution. My paperwork to BBB will go back in today.
  3. That's pretty shitty. My dealer offered me a month's payment for all the trouble I'd been through to date, and they felt it was fixed. Didn't accept anything yet though, since mine still vibrates after 4 attempts. What also sucks is that if you do get a new truck, the maintenance is cut in half and the warranty is now only 60k instead of 100k.
  4. Mine tested at 30+ and according to my dealer when they got it down to 19 it was "within spec". That was at 75 mph.
  5. Agreed! Mine has the 20's. No reason it should be that sensitive to tires. What happens in a year or so when it needs tires?? I have to go through a bunch of tires and balancing to get it together?? Mine still isn't right. Ugh.
  6. For the couple guys that have theirs fixed, mark your tire and wheel at each one. Mine was "fixed" on Thursday and I marked mine. After the ride home and towing the boat, I have one tire that has slipped almost 10" on the rim, and another just over an inch. Both rear tires. Can't believe how much it slipped.
  7. I think tires are definitely part of the issue. Here's why: I picked my truck up Thursday night after getting tires, shocks, left rear axle, more tires, road force, etc. The advisor said they found that the tire was slipping on the rim, so they rebalanced again and let it sit overnight with a different compound. They finally got the Pico into an acceptable range. I drove it to work and figured I'd just mark the wheels/tires for chits and giggles. Well, after I got home I noticed the left rear had slipped abut 2" and it definitely felt different on the way home compared to the ride to work. Then today, I towed my boat into town and back and guess what...found its now about 7" from where it started. With 3oz of weight, I'm sure that has a major effect. Mine has the polished 20" wheels with GY.
  8. Got mine back after a list of items the dealer did, most of which was alongside the local GM Field Engineer. None of the replacement parts helped the vibration (tires, shocks, axle, more tires, RF balance, etc) however, they finally indexed the tires after one of the RF balances, and found that a couple tires were indeed slipping on the rim. From what I was told, as much as 5"-6"... So this morning was the first time I was on the highway and it did feel better. Not 100%, but definitely better. So when I got to work, I went ahead and marked the rim to the tires, just to test the theory. Well, this afternoon on my way home, although not as bad as previous, it was definitely worse than this morning. Well, checked my marks when I got home and the left rear tire had moved about 2"-3" on the rim. The right rear was about a 1/4" off. With around 4 oz of weight, I'm sure this would have an affect. The real question though is why??? Why are the tires slipping on the wheels so bad? Mine even sat overnight prior to them doing a final test ride also. BTW, my pico readings went from 30 milli-G's down to 18, which according to my report was within spec. Guess I'll be back next week to the dealer... Starting to really miss my EcoBoost...
  9. Here's my dilemma. I got a screaming deal on my truck, and if GM were to give me what I paid for the truck, I couldn't buy another comparable truck in a different brand for the same money. The sale price of my truck was $36,995 (then of course dealer add-on, dealer fee, tax and so on was extra), but my point is, where am I going to find a crew cab, leather, 4wd, max tow, equipped truck for that same money? I can't buy my exact truck today for that money, and you can't even find a used one for that. Btw, the sticker on mine was a shade over $50k.
  10. Apparently, mine was fixed today too. I don't have the specifics yet, but will be picking it up tomorrow afternoon. Will report back once I have details on the repair and whether or not it's actually repaired.
  11. That's the weird thing about it. Mine almost felt like it would subside some and then come back worse... It's definitely not consistent, but it never goes away completely. BTW, mine has now had shocks, tires, and a new rear axle assembly. None of which fixed the problem and supposedly, the local field engineer was going to be working with the tech today on mine. We'll see what happens next. This is the 3rd visit, and I'm going on 9 days for this trip in.
  12. Well, they replaced shocks on mine, and I'm assuming the "pico" readings were still not good as they called this morning and are replacing the rear axle assembly. Maybe this will fix it...
  13. That sucks. I'm also in Florida, and this is the 3rd attempt. I'm not too optimistic at this point. Would think shocks would only mask the real problem, so we'll see. I may have it back today, as the shocks were supposed to come in today.
  14. Did he go for a ride? Mine is back in for its 3rd time, and they are now putting new shocks at all 4 corners. First trip was road force balance, second was 3 new tires, and now shocks.
