  1. I really like the black Mirrors, on that truck, I find the color matched caps can look out of place on the bright colored trucks at times. Sent from my HTC One M9 using Tapatalk
  2. I jumped in in the 3rd group buy, received my lights 3pm today, likely would have been Friday but its was long weekend. Anyways, they are in and thanks to a few helpful pointers from this thread it took me about an hour 15 minutes to get them in. Still the middle of the day but they definitely light up the shop better than any of the other lights I've had in there. Worst being the Diode Dynamics, then stock, then Putco's blue Halogen bulb. These give me hope LED lighting may be able to tangle with HID's at some point. Headlights are 4500k DS2 and the fogs I believe are 5500k. I'm still not sure why LED's only come 5-6000k for automotive. Anyways this is the best "color" difference I could capture with the phone camera. Sent from my HTC One M9 using Tapatalk
  3. Thanks for posting this. I stuck my head under the bumper this morning to plan my attack on the fog lights housings as I wasn't the least bit interested in taking off the bumper. That's the plan I came up with and I was glad to read someone else had succeeded with this route. The T15 Torx screws in the fender liner make everything easy peasy, just really pay attention to the way the whole assembly comes/falls out from that spot. I fought with the passenger side for 15 minutes getting it in there. Gave up and took out the drivers side paying more attention this time. Once I had the drivers side out I was able to wiggle the passenger side in within a matter of 30 seconds. That fog light housing though.... jeesh someone spent way to much time on making that thing so damn complicated. Sent from my HTC One M9 using Tapatalk
  4. Haha. Well neither is your incompetence, makes us even then. [emoji106] [emoji106] Sent from my HTC One M9 using Tapatalk
  5. If you want your steering wheel to be straight and not wear out your tires in a couple hundred miles, yes you need an alignment, with any leveling kit. I can't believe this question still gets asked. Sent from my HTC One M9 using Tapatalk
  6. To be honest, I really don't feel that much of a difference. I notice the small bumps and dips in the road more but I think that may be from the 10ply tires. We forgot to do a before measure, but the rear fenders now sit at 41" and the fronts right around 39 3/4-7/8. The guy that made the leafs figured it would be around 2" of lift. When they install these on stock trucks they take out the stock block on the rear axle. I too was contemplating going with bags again on this truck, but with a couple air bag problems, bending the leafs on my last truck and with the exchange rate putting Firestone bags above $500 I decided on the leafs. This setup takes the middle leaf out and replaces it with 2 for a total of 4 leafs. Another option the shop suggested was the 3/4 ton 5 leaf pack which is usually what they do when that middle leaf breaks on the halftons. Pic of said bent leafs. 7. Went with the 2.25" ProComp level and a custom add a leaf from a local suspension shop. LT275/70/18 Goodyear Duratrack. Will rub a little sometimes just before full lock in reverse. Sent from my HTC One M9 using Tapatalk
  8. Thanks Spurshot for the write up, I think the GM engineers may have seen this thread though and engineered some plastic in pin 10 so the diodes wouldn't go into the pin.. I fought with getting the Diode in the pin for the better part of 40 minutes and 4 diodes, thankfully i had a pile on hand from previous generation trucks. The diode would go into every other pin except the fog... Damn Murphys law showing up when it should be a 5 minute job... Anyways got it beat, not to tackle the DRL,s
