I echo what others have said... crate motor and extended warranty. Unfortunate situation for sure.
Do we know if these problems are related only to the 5.3 or does anyone know of any 6.2s with the same issue?
Does anyone have a spreadsheet with all the torque specs for these T1 trucks (I.e. leaf springs, lug nuts, sway bar links, etc)? I know there are several threads on the K2 trucks... would like to do a once over in my 19 now that it’s nearing 5k.
My AT4 does the same thing! Thumps from different areas behind the dash... only way I can describe the noise is like a vent door shutting hard. Drives me nuts.
-Yes, I tinted the front windows at 20% and tinted the back window an additional 20% to darken the interior a bit more.
-No the coating was done professionally by Nano Surfaces Solutions.
-Tint - $160 for the three windows. Xpel Clear Bra - $745. Paint correction and 7yr coating $1400.
Hey everyone, been a while since I've posted on here... just traded in my '18 Denali for an AT4 Double Cab w/ the 6.2 and thought I'd share. Got a heck of a deal up at Banks in NH, highly recommend.
Sorry for the lackluster pic, but only snapped a quick shot of her before she got dirty again.
Modifications so far..
-Removed the "AT4" and "Sierra" emblems
-Tinted the front side windows
-Xpel clear bra
-Gtechniq ceramic coat
6 months later, finally got around to installing the cover. Cant tell the metallic flake because of the cloud cover, but when the sun hits it, it really pops. Worth the time and money, really gives the engine bay a finished look.
Thank you for your service! As far as transmission goes, the truck must have been thoroughly abused the first 25k, or it is just a fluke. GM Transmissions, although shift happy, are for the most part bulletproof.
