  1. I used FXR projectors, morimoto 55watt 5500k. The light output is insane!!! So bright and so wide. My wife has a 2017 MDX and I thought her headlights were amazing, not anymore!!!
  2. I had used the bottom brackets. I put a small washer on the bottom of the bottom 2 bolts as they would just eventually turn without tightening and I noticed they weren't overly tight and not quite the same amount of threads on showing. I wasn't able to use the top brackets but pulled the screws out as it was forcing them in different directions. That seemed to do the trick. Even with the D2H bulbs I think when it warms up I will pull the caps off, heat and stretch them as I feel they should be pointed up higher, but the adjuster is getting pretty tight. It is on a 3/4 ton so they do sit ass up compared to a half ton.
  3. Finally did a fxr retrofit on a 2015 Silverado with factory projectors. Light output is amazing. Used the d2h bulbs and everything did fit under the cap. It appears I am having issues with my cut off line. It looks as if one side is shadowing the other. The step isn't even, like there are 2 steps side by side instead of 1 distinct step in the middle. Tried taking pics but they don't show the 2 steps. Looks perfect in the pic. Lol Any idea welcome. Thanks.
  4. Decided to take the plunge. Anyone who ordered from fastheadlights, is the wiring true plug and play including the high beam split? Live in Canada so need to order everything at once. Thanks in advance. Any chance of a black friday sale?
  5. Post #9 has pics of the new holes/bolts. If u dont split the lights I believe u can only get one top bolt in(or drill a small hole in back of light) and if u drill the new holes in the bottom getting them aligned may be tough. I think if u could somehow mark the bottom holes with the bracket(fastheadlight) it may be ur best bet or drill the bottom holes in the FXR a bit bigger and allow for some twisting of the projector to get the alignment straight before final tightening.
  6. I havnt done mine but from what I gather many use the bottom bracket and not the top in the 3 bolt method. I'm sure you already checked but tripple check the bulbs are in correctly.
  7. Not cheap but looks like it should work. Anyone try these?
  8. This may help some. https://www.gmpartsonline.net/parts/2015/Chevrolet/Silverado%202500%20HD/High%20Country?siteid=215055&vehicleid=417531&diagram=GH15010
  9. Thanks for the wrote up! When u say larger caps do u mean something like these? https://www.theretrofitsource.com/accessories/rubber-housing-caps.html#.VlJSyWSrRFQ
  10. Sciemmer, just a few questions on the retro. Did u have to split the headlights to do the projector swap? How did the bolt pattern line up with the FXR projectors to the lens? Did u use the bracket from fastheadlights or was it easy enough to do without the bracket? Thanks in advance!
