Figured it out...found an old post on here. Something to do with resetting private data? But any way that worked!

Also just got a message trying that said "unable to store favorites in this mode" what ever that means?

What's strange is the presets work for FM but won't preset XM stations?

Hello,I have a 2015 gmc serra 1500. I put a new battery in it today and lost all my presets. If I hold the preset button it seems like it's going to store the station but it doesn't. Any one have any ideas how to get the presets to program stations? Anybody ever have this happen? It's a pain not having them working.

2015 gmc sierra 1500 sle 5.3 6 speed. Replaced ac condenser after 8 years,thermostat and a battery. Other then break pads and st of tires that's all. I'm at 117,000 now no engine or trans problems. All stock never turned off v4 mode and no catch can.

I have a 2015 GMC sierra and for some reason it won't take a radio preset. I hold button down and nothing. Any ideas?

BTW......which one is has the least problems the 8 or the 6 speed?

I don't have the 8 speed I have the 6 speed mine,it is a 2015. Want to keep mine for another year and worry about the same thing I'm at 107,000 now still seems to be fine. (I know your question was about the 8 speed....just getting at I worry about the same thing)

It's worth buying whole assembly. Takes about 15 minutes to change. I did mine over the summer. 3 10mm bolts and one clamp.

My 15 does this only at an idle. If I barely press the gas it stops. I have no clue what it is. Mostly after it's warmed up and notice it when idling when in park. But will also do it if idling in drive like at a drive thru.

I thought about trading mine on a new one until I found out 2019 and newer won't fit in my garage. Mine is a 15 gmc sierra sle double cab z71. Been a great truck no major issues and I'm at 103,000. Just keeping it for now. Don't want to park outside after parking in a garage for 17 years. So don't really know what I will do down the road.

Mine has been out for a while. I got the bulb at napa was like 3 dollars. I'm to nervous to change it because mine does not leak. Worried if I do change it,it will start leaking.

Has anyone had the 6 speed transmission make it past 120-150 thousand? Seems like most go out around that mileage. I'm at 95,000 starting to get nervous cause I will still be driving it around 120,000 or so.

Ok thanks. Probably more then I want to get into. I thought it might be something a little simpler.
