  1. How has this set up been for you so far? I'm planning on doing the same thing soon.
  2. Just threw it away this morning . Didn't think anyone would want it.
  3. Here are the PN and the website, For anyone looking to change theirs out. SKID PLATE Part Number: 23459714 FILLER PANEL Part Number: 22944860 You need both pieces. http://www.gmpartsdi...ents-front-scat
  4. It was about 180 for both pieces. Shipping cost will vary depending on where you live and that will raise or lower the price accordingly. Here's what I did........ WARNING!!!!!!!!!I was told that I "hacked" it up. Here's why, I was able to get all the bolts and clips EXCEPT FOR the two on the outer edges of the original plastic piece. I took a picture of the position of where these bolts go on the new piece. These two bolts on the very top would not come out unless you took the bumper off. I didn't want to go through that so I just ripped off the plastic, since I wasn't putting it back on. At that point I was able to unscrew the clips from the bolts and remove them it so that I could install the new panel. I've been told that you can loosen the bumper and get to those bolts. I didn't even try it. After reinstalling all other bolts and clips the panel is solidly held in place. Yes I guess this is "hacking it up". So say the car gods He who has never had an extra bolt left over after working on a car can throw the first stone. Hi my name is Jose and I'm a hacker. I'm not only a member I'm also the president. Its painted silver. You can order it in chrome though.
  5. Changed out the front bumper insert yesterday. From all black, to the two piece Z71 front insert.
  6. My dad just put a set of 305/45/22's stock offset, under his two wheel drive extended cab with a 1 inch lift and he hasn't had any rubbing or anything. Hope this helps.
  7. Just picked up a set of these wheels myself, if anyone has used that tutorial I'd love to see before and after pics.
  8. So it was necessary to disconnect all three electrical connections for the power steering?
  9. Steps and Z71 wheels and grill, not all done today but over the past couple months. 2 inch level on deck for Saturday morning!
  10. To the guys who have installed this at home already: Has anyone actually tried it the way they do it in this video? Seems a lot easier but I know that this is a not the exact same set up as our trucks. Rough country instructions say you have to remove the factory skid plate and disconnect all the connectors for the electric power steering. Is this the way you guys have done it? If so did it make sense why you are disconnecting these electrical connections? Thanks for your responses!
  11. This is gonna sound weird but, did you try to wipe off the dashboard while the truck was running? The same thing happened to me. I got a car wash and then wiped the dash off at a stop light with the little towel they give you. I found a thread that said the static electricity built up by wiping off the dash zaps a do-hickey(technical term) in the radio that controls the sound. I found a thread that said it would reset after about 10 min of the truck being off. Stopped and grabbed a bite to eat and by the time I came out it was back on.
  12. Read on amazon that only the front seats are leather. Is this true? UPDATE Looks like its a combo of leather and vinyl. Correct me if I'm wrong.
  13. Any rubbing with this set up? I've got a level and new wheels on the way and I'm looking into tires now.
