  1. Thanks for being such a welcoming board. Time to move on to other forums after having sold my Sierra recently. Take care, all. I'll be in here and there. :)

  2. Hmmm... I'll have to get this checked out. This is something the dealer should have no problem checking for me, right? Being that I just got the truck in Dec. of 2015.
  3. So they were definitely cooked. The inside brake pad on the driver was side was metal-on-metal. The passenger side was nearly there. The outside pads still had about half-life left. I still cannot believe these brakes went at 16k. I honestly cannot believe that I drive that aggressively, but I guess the proof is in the pudding. Time to slow down.
  4. Yea, I'm thinking now maybe I picked up a rock or some sort of debris. I'm going to try to get my wheels off today to see exactly what's going on in there and report back. Again, I understand aggressive driving causes premature wear, but 16k just seems a little ridiculous.
  5. I drive a bit spiritedly, but can it really be possible that I need to replace my front brake pads at 16k? Has anyone else around here had theirs go so quickly? I have a lead foot, I'll readily admit that, and thus I brake a little more aggressively than most... but I really can't believe they're grinding at 16k. I had a 2009 Avalanche and rode it pretty hard for ~40k miles before I had to touch the brakes! Thoughts?
  6. Quick question: Is there a bulletin out for this? What is the likelihood of the dealer telling me to get lost if I go in and let them know I'm having this issue?
  7. Argh. Not looking forward to having to go through the dealer for all of this crap. Mine definitely has the slight shudder/vibration on the steering wheel (a bit felt in general, hand off wheel) at the 52-40 range. Both up and down, but mostly during deceleration and braking in that range.
  8. I *think* it has been only while braking, but I'll try letting it coast during my lunch break and report.
  9. I was hoping it would go away, but thus far it looks like it's sticking (at 800 miles here): I have a slight steering wheel shake when decelerating in the 50-42 mph range. Does anyone else's truck do this? Anyone know if this is easily fixable? What could be the cause? Not sure if I really feel it while accelerating, but it's definitely there when decelerating.
  10. One of the best on the forum. Nice truck, man!
  11. This forum has to have the most beautiful trucks on any forum, ever.
  12. Giving me hope for my SW Sierra. Looking clean, man. Here is my new baby.
