  1. Without looking at my truck, I think I went with the 275 KO2. They were significantly cheaper even though more rubber. I haven't had a single problem with the stock suspension.
  2. I installed a $20 kit from eBay. Even with the backup camera, I found the bumper corners were closer than I liked to nearby objects, and my wife is notorious for bumping into things. I like the results because it looks very stock other than not showing up on the DIC. I drilled 4 holes in the bumper (kit came with a hole saw), mounted the controller behind the tail light assembly where I could access the reverse +12v wire, and ran the speaker output along the frame and into the cabin. I mounted the little speaker behind the rear seat. I added the toggle switch for towing and a relay for ignition signal. I found I had to add that relay because the sensors were active when the vehicle exit lights were on at night, which include the reverse light. Every time I would walk behind the truck with those on it would beep at me. Fixed now.
  3. I replaced the dash plate that had a cubbie pocket with one without it ( GMPartsDirect Part# 22830877). I cut out where the factory trailer brake controller goes (not installed on my truck) to accept the switches and trim piece from The Switch Guys at www.Otrattw.net. They have a gazillion options.
  4. I have no tint and have the same problem. Been dealing with it for 3 years. I have Morimoto HID headlights from TRS, but that doesn't help much. The fogs help some. But I, too, would like more light; particularly right turns. The entrance to my neighborhood is slightly higher than 90deg and I'm just hoping for the best when I turn in at night. Just poking around the Internet it seems several other folks of different makes/models have gone the route of the Ford relay. Chevy supposedly has a relay used in older model Tahoes, too, but I haven't found that p/n.
  5. Aftermarket backup sensors and light bar controller. I replaced the original with one that didn't have the cubby and custom cut it to fit the switches.
  6. I had to replace 1 relay at about 20 months on my TRS kit. The one I didn't replace is intermittent now. I went ahead and bought a Hella relay to have on-hand when it does fail.
  7. I have a 3-way switch on mine. In all cases, the accessory power must be on. When the rocker is in the up position, the light bar is on. When it's in the middle position, off. The bottom position is tied to the high beams. I tapped the high beam wire by the radiator to trigger 1 relay. The top position of the switch triggers a second relay.
  8. TRS already replaced the passenger side. This is the driver's side now. I don't expect them to keep replacing relays every 2 years, but maybe the first pair was just a bad batch. They seem great about standing behind their product, though. I'm fairly certain it's not a moisture issue. My relays are mounted at the spare battery tray location. I'm thinking it may be more heat-related. I have noticed the entire engine bay gets warmer than most vehicles I've owned.
  9. I have a '14 Sierra with the TRS Morimoto HID kit. I'm starting to have relay failures. Any ideas how to prevent these failures or a better relay than the TRS supplied units? Thanks in advance.
  10. I wonder if I can speed up my condenser's failure to get my '14 covered under warranty? I bought mine new off the lot in '15, so I have some time and miles left
  11. Did the light bar behind the grill. That switch is a 3-way. I can turn the light on/off/ or with high beams.
  12. I used to have a small toggle switch on the driver's kick panel but moved it to a more professional looking location above the light switch.
  13. That's a very good location for the aux switches. Great idea for those, like us, that don't have the center console.
  14. That would be tougher. You might be able to tie into the brake lights to activate them, but it would also be nice to have an output from the truck when speed drops below 5 or 10 mph.
  15. I went with these sensors. They look nearly identical to the factory ones. I only wanted the audible alarm. Several come with a distance gauge, too. All these kits come with a hole saw. I have the speaker attached to the support of the rear seat. Wiring is under the carpet. There's a relay under the dash so the alarm only works when the ignition is on. I didn't like it beeping at me when I walked behind the truck after unlocking it. The reverse lights some on with the courtesy lights. The sensors' controller is tapped into the reverse power and ground wires behind the left tail light assembly. http://www.ebay.com/itm/US-4-Silver-Parking-Sensors-Car-Backup-Reverse-Radar-Buzzer-Alarm-Assistant-Kits-/142329141255?hash=item21237a5807:g:~Q4AAOSwtfhYrqQm Sensor wires ran to the tail light area: Controller mounted with 3M d/s tape:
