  1. Keep asking the dealer to fix it. Have they checked pinion angle, etc?
  2. I received a new 2016 yesterday (ordered new not from current dealer stock) to replace my GMC 2015 6.2 4x4 crew cab that vibrated since I bought it in Dec 2015. My 2015 has been at the dealer since Jan 5th trying to resolve the vibration. They tried wheels, tires, replaced ring & pinion, replaced shocks and are trying shims for the engine next. I'm glad that truck is gone. The new 2016 does not vibrate at all for now and the transmission appears much smoother than the 2015. Thanks to everyone that takes the time to post what's happening with their trucks on this forum. It helped me get through the last 3 months.
  3. If you want to share your story, I believe Steve Elmer is the person at autoguide.com working on the article. You can email him at [email protected].
  4. My advice would be to make sure that your test drive includes driving the truck on smooth payment and sustain 76 mph for several minutes. My 2015 vibrates and both 2016 loaner vehicles I have driven did the same when you sustain 76 mph.
  5. Purchased 12/18. 37 says straight at the dealer. Not fixed yet. In Texas and also speechless.
  6. Could you get the same fix from shims between the axle and leaf springs? Are the spring clamps reducing vibration of the overload spring or changing the pinion angle?
  7. I wish mine was smooth on new asphalt. My vibration is the worst on new smooth pavement at 76 mph. I have noticed that it's also worse with warmer temperatures and a full tank os gas. I thought it was gone recently with the cold weather but I was wrong.
  8. Maybe it would help for folks to contact this firm via their website to report our truck problems. It's easy to submit an email from their "contact us" tab.
  9. This can't be that hard for them to figure out. It must simply be an expensive fix and until sales drop off, they are not worried. GMC sure had a lot of advertising for trucks during the NFL games this weekend. They don't seem worried.
  10. Below is a link to Autoblog (Chris Bruce was the author) who wrote the story about GM SUV problems that was reported by Fox News. I sent a link to this thread in hopes they will update to their original story and talk about GM's truck problems as well. I'm posting this in case anyone wants to request their help. http://www.autoblog.com/contact/tips/#01
  11. Add me to the list of new truck owners with the vibration problem. I had not read or heard about these problems prior to purchasing my 2015 Sierra 1500. I took it to the dealer with 90 miles on it to report the vibration. They asked me to drive it for 500 miles and bring it back which I did. They balanced the tires which didn't help. Next up is force balance on Tuesday. This thread is very helpful. I agree with post right above this one that we need to forward the Fox report to anyone that you can asking them to look into the truck problems as well.
