  1. a power-lift tailgate is not available on the 2019 Sierra in any trim/option/package; that's a Chevy exclusive. The remote up window feature is a typo slated for update. Remote roll up in a pinch hazard. Certain vehicles you can get a module that plugs into your OBDII port and will autoclose the windows. I had one on my 2011 regal, cost me $12 on ebay. The 2016 and up Sierra has has remote window down.
  2. Not denying how plane it is, among many of the finishes given the price, but specifically how much will you care if you are looking at the HUD all the time? A lot of what you look to center cluster now will be a beautiful HUD that offers a lot of selections / customization. I'd imagine if the HUD didn't exist you'd have seen a different cluster all together.
  3. Oh man that's an awesome story. Small world! She looks great. The RCSB is a classic look.
  4. Is your lens dirty or am I trippin balls? I'm kinda drunk.
  5. I hate you right to the soul! *Jealous rage ensues.*
  6. The sensor was bad as well as loose and was leakin a considerable amount of collent which I didn't think to check. When I picked it up he said 'we replaced the sensor and she needed coolant badly.' There was a code stored, P0118 - http://www.obd-codes.com/p0118- Repair order said they tested the connection to PCM and it validation, replaced sensor and reset code.
  7. My 2016 5.3L Sierra (SLE) 4x4 has had been experiencing the issues in the thread title. $2,800 miles on her, two months since delivery as of 3/26/16. Temperature gauge will not rise, radiator fans stuck in high mode, and AFM will not enable V4 mode. I take the same route to work daily and know all the stops V4 runs. I have one 10 mile stretch of totally flat highway. It happened three times this past week, each time was on the initial drive of the day. During stop and go traffic the second time I shut off and restarted the truck which didn't do anything. When I arrived to work shutting of the truck, waiting 5 minutes and the restarting had no effect. Dealer was unable to pull a code or reproduce last week. No check engine light or other indicators. Yesterday I was running errands and it occurred and lucky for me I was visiting my parents and my home town GMC dealer is open 10-3 so I wung it in and left it running. Service guy comes out and says 'Hello, what seems to be going on aside from this thing making a ton of noise'. I chuckled. I bet not many of you have heard the radiator fans stuck in 'Coolant Hot / overheat mode'. YOu can hear it in the cab, clear as day with the radio on. In the service area it was absolutely deafening. We had to step outside and shut the doors to talk to each other while his scan tool ran. The only comparison I had it to those car wash blowers that dry your car at the end, right when you are under them. I did a search and manually browsed 10 pages of topics, didn't seen this one. I'll report back what the dealer finds if anything, and continued troubleshooting or resolution. In the event someone else has this issue they may find value in the information.
  8. Talked to the service manager by the dealer by me. After he put me on hold, "yea we don't know anything about that, you can try back next month". Me, "Ok but you should have the bulletin from the start of the month, you are aware any vehicle delivered to customers on March 2 or after should have this update applied if not done so already from dealer stock. There's no communication going out to new owners, GM expects their customer base to get this with their car if they purchase in March or later. How do you guys not have the update?" Manager, "Yea I don't anything about that, sounds like GM's problem and not a dealer problem. You can try back next month." Gotta love it, once they sell you the car they don't give two shits.
  9. Thanks. I actually ordered a sheet of vinyl tint off ebay last night around same time I posted. One shop said they have issues with these tails, but I think he just wanted to upsell me on painting them. I was looking for someone if the tint film job goes to shit. I read other people had success. I considered Lamin-x but searched hi and low and found no one posting results so I ordered a 12" by 72" roll of film for $13
  10. Do these look really dumb? http://www.ebay.com/itm/14-16-GMC-Sierra-1500-Truck-Gloss-Black-Taillight-Tail-Light-Trim-Bezel-Cover-/121844606503?hash=item1c5e812627:g:UW0AAOSwJcZWgY68&vxp=mtr Got a two year lease, I don't want to spend money on aftermarket tails and I'm obviously not going to get them permanently painted. I plasti dipped all the chrome and emblems like I had on my GMC Terrain, just looking for a touch of customization in the back. I kind of like them but they seem a bit busy.
