I appreciate the discussion on this topic... My 2010 Canyon V8 4X4 was purchased new in April 2010... Never a problem until September 2015... Original battery went dead after a few days without starting... No problem... Replaced 5 1/2 year old battery... New battery went dead in a month or so after the vehicle sits for 2 or 3 days... Took the new battery back twice... Finally, battery dealer replaced the new battery... Same problem... Blue Max battery... Never heard of that brand for auto use... No info on-line... Went to NAPA and purchased a GOOD battery... Same problem after a couple of weeks... Started looking for parasitic battery drain with ammeter between battery negative terminal and ground cable... Have approximately 450 mA(0.45 A)drain with everything shut off... Checked wife's Acura MDX... Hers about 230 mA... I pulled every fuse and relay one-at-a-time, disconnected alternator and starter... I found one fuse that eliminates about 100 mA... Other than that I can find no source of power drain... There are no interior lights on after everything times out... Radio Mp3 & CD player have power to them when vehicle is off... But I can see them shut down on ammeter after they time out... On-Star has its own power switch... Alternator appears to be charging fine... Battery voltage 12.0 V with everything off... About 14.5 V with motor running... I only drive this vehicle about 7K miles per year... I am not too cheap to take it to GMC dealer but hate to pay them for chasing gremlins... Anything new on this?... Thanks...
