  1. i have the 2.25 inch pro comp leveling kit and i think mine still looks a little nose down. I'd prefer it a little more level but everyone is different. had mine installed at 4 wheel parts in coppell, tx. last time i ever go there for anything. incompetence, contradictory information from different people. sorry i paid them money to do anything on my truck.
  2. Thanks. is that tape in the circled area too? are those tabs that insert into something? i haven't taken that piece off to investigate yet. what about those metal clips i pointed to? those are the source of squeaking?
  3. Ever find those pics? Used tape like this? http://www.amazon.com/Yosoo-Universal-Flannel-Squeak-Adhesive/dp/B0169U1X7I/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1458302933&sr=8-1&keywords=automotive+felt+tape
  4. I brought my new 16 SIerra into the dealer yesterday to take care of a few rattles. One in the upper dash around the windshield and another that seemed to be under or behind the steering column or gauges. They called me a few hours later and said both were fixed under an existing bulletin. They added insulation to under the trim piece along the dash where it meets the windshield and the same bulletin called for insulation against an inverter under the steering column area. I don't have the bulletin number with me right now. I haven't heard the rattle under the steering column again yet but the dash one is still there - sounds different now but still there so I plan to take it back next week. Anyone else have experience with these rattles?
  5. according to amazon neither of the locks referenced above fit a 2016 sierra. can I trust that fit tool on amazon?
  6. where can you bu y the gorilla x2 locks at? i went to their website and you can't buy them there. have a part number for them perhaps? as far as ppl who say save your money it's not worth it. that's silly. a few bucks to protect thousands in tires and wheels. yes they arne't foolproof but thieves are stupid. they take the easy/fast way. if you have locks and your neighbor doesn't they are taking your neighbors first every time. when i had my silverado years ago i had locks on them. i woke up one morning and found screwdrivers in my driveway and my center caps off my wheels. i drove around the neighborhood and found that 6 trucks and tahoes had their wheels stolen. mine weren't. they popped off my center caps and moved on. per the police, all the others didn't have locks. there are 2 kinda thieves out there - professionals and opportunists. opportunists are easy to stop. if you make it easy for them they will take your stuff but if you throw up a few roadblocks they move on. professionals are harder to stop. i'll spend a few bucks to protect my wheels from the opportunist knuckleheads.
  7. I was at my local 4 Wheel Parts store to get info on a leveling kit today and while I was there I asked if they had wheel locks since I don't want to awake up one morning and find my truck sitting on cinder blocks. They sold Gorilla locks which I had on my previous Silverado. the guy at 4 Wheel Parts suggested that I go back to GMC and get their locks as they will fit better. He said that the Gorilla locks fit my truck but the GM ones will be a better fit. I've seen posts where people are using Gorilla locks. Any issues with clearnace between the lock and the wheel? Anyone just using the GM locks?
  8. had the same issue with my previous truck (07 slverado) but only at costco. had no issues anywhere else. hope my 16 doesn't have that issue. annoyed the hell out of me.
