  1. what were your ohm readings? I'm thinking mine are going out they barley getting warm after 4 miles of driving
  2. for the guys that have changed the leafs on the 14+ trucks how do the leafs come out looking the the bolts the nuts are on the outside so the bolts would have to be pushed through the frame hitting things like the gas tank and exhaust do those need to be removed to do the job?
  3. never mind was able to save the pics and turn them around on the computer. I'm wondering if the rear wall is the same on the double cabs ?
  4. so is what you built behind the seat or under it? kind of hard to tell in the pics.
  5. got mine installed today ended using the thicker of the brown/yellow stripe and the gray/green stripe wires while testing i noticed something weird when locked with the door closed window down i was not able to unlock the doors with the button on the door i had to use the key fob this would happen after the interior lights went out and the red dash light was blinking is this some kind of anti theft cause it pretty dumb. i can lock myself in my truck and not be able to use the unlock button ill have to pull the handle twice to get out. i didnt see anything in the manual about this it just seems strange to me.
  6. im thinking about doing mine they are very noisy/clunky. im not sure if i want the stock 2/1 or the 4/1 pack i would like the 5 leaf but i don't want any lift i just want the added capacity so my atv doesn't make it squat
  7. having the same issues but the only tsb's i have found are only mentioning the 8 speed why would GM fix only the 8 speeds when these issues started with the 6 speeds and no fix for us. my dealer could careless and play the its operating as designed card i don't think down shifts should make passengers lunge foreword but that just me and i get a good bang/clunk right around 30mph up or downshift.
  8. i have no idea my truck has been nothing but probs between the shaking, hesitation, burs under the paint, v4 drone/grinding sound when it switches between v4/v8, trans clunking, poor radio reception and buzzing speakers when doors are opened. i should have lemon this truck and moved on to another brand or a 2500hd. the dealer has been no help really they have a TSB on everything to explain how this is all normal and operating as it should GM has really dropped the ball on these trucks IMO.
  9. my 15 does this and it did it tonight at the gas station its completely random when it happens but it only happens when the door is opened
  10. just shy of 9k miles my clunking/v4 vibration is getting worse truck almost instantly shifts to 4 cyl all the time hot or cold even on hills clunk bad when that happens. my issues started getting worse after the oil change/ air bag recall the dealer did. been to the dealer several times they dont seem to care they blame it on GM's programing and they are waiting for a new "tune" well its been over a yr and no "tune" they basically could careless. the dealer even greased my drive shaft/leaf springs on my 4x4 truck saying they have a TSB for that well if they read the TSB is specifically states not to grease the drive shaft on 4x4 trucks.
  11. do you by any chance have a link to the tsb where it says not to use grease on newer trucks? my truck is getting worse and worse with the clunking and now vibrating in 4cyl mode but i brought up the fact that they greased my drive shaft and the service writer said they have a TSB that states to grease all nickel plated shafts and they have been doing this for years.
  12. theres a TSB on the oil filter housing threads being to long and not allowing the filter seal to make good contact i had the printout but cant seam to find it right now if i find it ill post a copy of it.
