  1. The new wix 10255 and 10255xp just recently replaced the 57045/xp The new filter has a higher bypass valve setting of now 22 psi which GM requires/recomends for the new Gen 5 Ecotec engine. The filter your using now is ok, and has a bypass valve setting of 12-15 psi . It will be fine, but start buying the new updated filter.
  2. Nobody has any info on these? Anyone with a work trim truck, what kind of front wheel well liners come in the work trim level? Felt or plastic or none???
  3. I found these, but I'm not sure if this is actually what we're talking about. Are these actually full coverage plastic wheel well liners? Anyone know, or have any info on these? GM part numbers 22757273, 22757274 Link https://m.ebay.com/itm/Set-Of-2-LH-RH-Side-Front-Inner-Fender-Splash-Shield-Liner-Fits-Silverado-1500-/131875616089?_mwBanner=1
  4. Does anyone have a link or part number to a set of plastic liners for the front, for a 2017 Silverado. I can only seem to find the plastic ones for the rear only. Thanks
  5. 2017 5.3L Predator Diablo tune 18hp 27 tq Intune i3 Diablo tune 16hp 20tq
  6. why does it say the predator makes a good bit more hp and torque than the intune, at least for a 2017 5.3L, can anyone explain that. Why wouldn't they just put the best canned tune available on both? I'm getting the hypertech, it seems to have the most options for transmission tunning, which is important to me. I hope it works well.
  7. Yea it's a 2017, it has plenty of time on warranty. I'm not to worried about it, just was curious if anyone else has already been through this and knew what would be the cause and fix.
  8. I've got 2 of these emails now. From that diagnostic above it looks like they would only replace a battery cable at most. Do you guys think if I just disconnect the battery for an hour or so that might help reset things, and maybe then the OnStar emails might stop?
  9. I got an email from OnStar about a possible problem with my starter motor or it's connection, for my 2017 5.3L Silverado. Just curious if anyone has had this alert before, and if you took it to the dealer what was the cause and fix for this. Thanks. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
  10. My 2017 5.3L makes the exact same noise as in the video. If you ever goes to the dealer to get this fixed, please let us know. I too believe it has something to do with the high pressure fuel pump, but the question is, is how long will this pump last before it fails, because this noise can't be normal or good since all of them don't do it. My 2015 5.3 never made this noise.
  11. If you pull the belt off, you will have no vacuum to the brake booster; which means you will not have power brakes. The brake pedal will be very hard to push, and much more difficult to stop the truck. Also will probably have some code pop up, and idiot light on the dash. So don't try to drive it without power brakes. But if you want to take the belt off to see if the noise stops at idle or reving it or maybe just going up and down the driveway that's would be fine, again just don't take it out on to public streets without power breaks.
  12. Are you guys sure it's not the plastic trim around the radio. I could swear that what it is on mine.
  13. Mine does the same. I thought it was coming from the silver trim around the radio, but maybe it is the dash itself. Can someone please post a link to the TSB Or a copy of the TSB please.
  14. How long does it take for the check engine light to come on? If I were to clear the code, would I have enough time to run the truck through emissions before the light comes back on? Also did you see my last question about unbolting the y pipe were it runs under the transmission pan? Thanks.
  15. Is this the exact setup you have?Does it look exactly like the one pictured with the clamps on the y pipe? The reason I ask is because I'd like to know, can you easily unbolt the section of the y pipe that runs under the transmission pan only, without having to unbolt the entire y pipe, from the passenger side and from the OEM cat back location? I would like a y pipe that is easy to unbolt from where it runs under the transmission pan, to be able to drop the transmission pan to do a filter/fluid change. Will this work with this arh headers y pipe, and if so with that piece of the y pipe out, would there definitely be enough room to completely drop the transmission pan? Any way you can take a picture of your y pipe connection as it runs under the transmission pan. Thank you. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
