  1. I've noticed lately that when filling the truck's diesel tank the fuel gauge will stick for awhile and then suddenly jump up to catch up. Today, when the nozzle clicked off to indicate the tank was full, the indication still showed 1/8 tank to go. I went ahead and paid and left and as I drove the needle finally worked its way to the full indication. First time it really stuck and took awhile to finally indicate. This is on my 2016 GMC 2500HD Sierra Denali 4x4. Diesel, as mentioned. The fuel gauge is one of those graphics generated gauges, not a mechanical one on the dash. Anyway, any thoughts on this? It used to go up so smoothly now it seems the sticking is getting worse over the last year or less. Is there something I can add to the fuel tank that might help clean the sensor and get that indication back to smooth flowing again? Thanks for any help.
  2. I don't know how I missed it before, but I re-read the diesel supplement that came with my truck and sure enough it can use B20.
  3. Hello, Tried to find a post like this. No luck. Anyway, we have a 2016 2500HD Sierra Denali with Duramax. I've religiously only used #2 diesel but am wondering if B20 is a problem for those motors? Thanks for any thoughts on this.
  4. Travis, yeah both sharkfin leak repairs and any work related to it including RCDLR was covered under warranty.
  5. Hi Travis. Yes, this fixed the problem and there have been no issues since. The sharkfin antenna did leak one more time but it came through in a slightly different spot so no electrical issues because of it and the dealer must have really sealed it well this last time because it hasn't leaked since.
  6. Thank you. I'm not sure I've ever noticed any of those.
  7. Ok, I have a 2016 Sierra Denali 2500 HD with over 36,000 miles on it and I don't know if I've ever noticed a regen take place. Is there any sort of information or indication on the DIC when this takes place? Apologies if this has been asked before, but I didn't find anything with my brief search.
  8. I bought the Husky liners for my truck. GMC 2500HD 4x4 Denali. They were easy to install and have held up real well. Pricing on Amazon, at the time, was less than WeatherTech and I really couldn't find anything significant in the way of negatives about the Husky. A few pics right after I installed them.
  9. None of these things will prevent the problem OP is reporting. Not using a pressure washer *might* delay the peeling but it's going to happen anyway. This is a problem with the paint not adhering to the base metal. I can't believe this is still happening. We had an 80s Suburban that did this! Yes, this has been going on for 30+ years and it's evident GM has no intent to fix it at the factory level. I was washing my 2016 GMC Sierra 2500HD Denali the other day and noticed several chips in the paint already. I just can't believe it. I'll be contacting them soon to, at least, get the complaint on file for when the real peeling starts.
  10. Add a Nikon 16-80 f2.8-4 to the stable. Got it for Christmas. I think it's going to take the 18-70's place as my daily driver.
  11. I haven't been on here in awhile but wanted to come back and say, yup, the sharkfin leaked AGAIN! Supposedly got it "fixed" again yesterday. We'll see since we had a pretty good rain overnight last night. Supposedly there is a "new" fix that involves a different torque spec on the nut and applying seam sealant...somewhere. I don't know if any of this is for a service bulletin, but here is what is on my invoice - " Cause corrected. 3480548 RD 1.3 Doc ID#4828810". Covered under warranty so that part's good. Fingers crossed.
  12. Went over to Harbor Freight and got a free magnetic tool holder. I put it up today.
  13. No pics but I washed all the bugs off the grille of the truck and the front of our trailer that accumulated on our 1200 mile camping trip. Man, that was a lot of bugs.
  14. Towed our Arctic Fox 22G 210 miles today. 270 more miles tomorrow to attend the Northwood RV rally in La Grande, OR. Pic taken at a rest stop along the way.
  15. Thanks. Also, these are 5/8" ones and they slid in real easy.
