  1. Does swapping out the shocks void your warranty or risk the chance of coverage if something happens?
  2. Did you get the replacement emblems for the bed from eBay or somewhere else?
  3. So, just to clarify, you're running the 5100s on max AND 2" spacer? Aren't the joints in the control arms basically screaming from that or did you upgrade them?
  4. If you have the chrome bumpers, than I think you'd want to stick with primarily that, but with some black accents. For the color-matched, like I have, I'm going to go with a matte black for things as that matches the back bumper, the bottom of the mirrors, etc.
  5. If I had the chrome bumper/grill and not the color-matched ones, I wouldn't, as I think the silver wheels looks great and black ones would look a little odd. I may give the wheel skins a shot, depending on cost and durability versus the cost of OE replicas in matte black.
  6. Anyone put any matte black accessories or wheels on their ABM truck? Debating swapping everything silver, IE: wheels, for matte black wheels, getting black nerf bars, and possibly a black bowtie, but I'm not entirely sure how it will look.
  7. Sounds like something on the OnStar side. If you can connect to the Wi-Fi that means that the hotspot in the truck is working. Wi-Fi can be connected without you having Internet access. It'd be the same as your PC being plugged into your router, but your home Internet being down. Still connected to the Network, just no Internet access. Are you sure that you called OnStar to get everything totally setup? I would definitely call OnStar and see if there's anything on their side first.
  8. I'm not a mechanic by any stretch of the imagination, nor have I had my truck for very long, but I'd have to guess that it's something with it being new possibly burning off or heating up enough to generate an odor. If anything, contact your dealer if you haven't already, or if no one here can provide any better insight. Just my $0.02.
  9. Total noob to detailing and having a new truck so.... any/all recommendations? I'm used to the "buy car soap, get a good sponge, get a bug sponge, and a wheel brush and go to town" mentality. Other than using Armorall cleaning supplies and tire foam. I've never even applied wax to a car before because I've always had used vehicles.
  10. Also curious about this and whether or not parts for a 2015 will work on my 2016 because I cannot find any Bilstein products when I specify the 2016 model year.
  11. Guess I just need to find some H11 CBI bulbs then and see how they compare. If they're the same wattage as the stock ones, what's the real difference, if anything? Or should I look for something with a higher wattage specifically? Seems like all I can find for H11 CBIs are a set of Osram 55w 4200K.
  12. You get what you pay for and BlackBear is the way to go. I'd personally save up the other $300 and then get a BlackBear instead of jumping the gun and buying one of the other two because they meet what cash you have available at the moment. Unless your truck simply will not move without being tuned, save for the BB.
  13. If all I did was drive on an entirely level road, sure, but the minute there's a dip in the road, a sizable bump, or a hill, they suck. The light doesn't seem to project high enough. I can see a reflection from them on road signs well in the distance, but they barely make it out more than 50 yards. Couple that with rain and oncoming traffic, they're terrible. The standard halogens in my '06 Dakota did a better job. The high beams on this thing are AMAZING with light being thrown everywhere, but I obviously can't drive around with them on all the time.
  14. Have been reading through several other threads that are over hundred pages long, as well as this entire one, and I have to agree with the general consensus that the lights suck, which is disappointing as I just bought a new '16 Silverado 1500 in March. Looking at all the info across the forum here, I'm still a little lost about what my options are. I have the LT Z71 with projector HIDs. Are my only options getting different bulbs? Will an LED conversion kit work with the stock projector HIDs? The Opt7 site isn't much help since you have to manually type in your vehicle make and model, which seems really dumb and counter-intuitive. Any help is appreciated and I apologize for anything I may have asked that's been repetitive.
