  1. I’ve got a 2022 3500 and it does the same thing. The crank is slightly extended for a cold start in low temps. It seems to cold start with normal cranking when the weather is warm.
  2. Is there a function to change the wheel size? Maybe someone with a scanner can change it.
  3. I have a base model 3500, and there is a setting to pair bluetooth. It seems like to bring up apps like Maps, or Youtube Music, XM… that it only works with the cable. Otherwise I need to open the app and then I can skip songs and such with bluetooth. I’ve also found that if I enable bluetooth on my phone and connect the cable that it sometimes doesn’t work right.
  4. The driver side bulb just blew on my 2012. I was able to remove the cover from over the grill->. radiator. This allowed me to reach it. Service info said something about removing the wheel well liners.
  5. I had a 2004 6.0 with 4:10, but now a 2012 with 3:73. It’s sort of apples to oranges comparison because of the 4 vs 6 speed transmission. On the highway the 4:10 was making the engine turn at 2500 rpm @70 mph, vs 1800rpm at the same speed for 3:73. If you do change gears what computer reprogramming is needed? Does the speedometer get its signal through the transmission, or do the ABS sensors do the job? How about differences in shift points?
  6. My truck came with the small mirrors and I want tow style. There was a large selection on eBay.
  7. If I had a shop I’d be reluctant to reuse the wheel for liability reasons. Those steel rims are cheap enough, so why not just replace it?
  8. You never know, the new bearing could be bad. I don’t know if yours is a 4x4, and I’ve never had one apart to see how the front axle attaches. Maybe something got torqued too tight too.
  9. I think that a scan tool may be able to tell if the computer is getting the signal for TH. Just because the light turns on may not mean anything. After finding out if the computer is getting the signal, then the next logical step would be seeing if the signal is reaching the transmission. Find a wiring diagram on this. Trace all the steps between the TH button, light, computer, and finally the wire to the transmission, finally see what device actually controls the shift points. Maybe it defaults to a non electronic mode if no signal is reaching the transmission. I have a 12 2500hd 6.0. It has a manual shift mode, if the shift lever is in M. See if that works. Definitely get a diagram to see what components are needed to put the transmission in TH.
  10. I had this problem on my 04, but have since replaced it with a 12. I have not had reason to check if the same internal mechanism is used. When I had the problem, I ended up taking off the bezel around the latch handle. The mechanism turns the pull of the handle to turning a little plate, which pulls the rods to the two latches. This plate has surface rust, and would not turn freely, and not let the rots reset the latches to lock. I cleaned the rotating plate up, sprayed WD40, and freed the plate’s rotation. I then coated the plate with white grease spray, but fluid film, or some other protectant would work. No more trouble surfaced before this truck went down the road.
  11. I'm from Plainville, but now unfortunately live in New York State.
