I have the same problem, dealership said that it is active fuel management and the fact that the timing is retarded to the extreme to help the truck get optimal fuel mileage.... that's what they said. "its normal"
has anyone had the TSB done that is supposed to reprogram the computer to send more voltage to the headlights or had the bulbs replaced with the part number in the TSB? And if so, was the results better for either or both??
thanks
I wasn't using M mode properly, now that I know how to do it correctly it does stay out of V4 mode. My problem with V4 is in my aftermarket exhaust it sounds like crap and I can just FEEL a big difference in how it drives when V4 kicks in all the time back and forth. It is very annoying.
I set my screen so I could see the V4/V8 and sure enough, in manual shift mode (even when I leave it in 5th gear) it will shift back in V4 when there is no load on the engine.
So you guys are saying that mine is the only one doing this?
I guess I see another trip back to the dealership........
Hey guys, does anyone know of a way to disable the V4 mode without having to tune it??
I used the M-5 but it still activates in that mode as well.
thanks
