markreed replied to BigMikeZ71's topic in 2014 - 2019 Silverado & Sierra
I'm on a 285/70/17. I ran stock 17s with no issue. Now running Method Wheels with same size tires, and a 2" level. No issues. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk -
Just picked up a 2017 Sierra yesterday. 6.2L and 8spd transmission. Z71 4x4, as well. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk

Texas speed headers
markreed replied to ChevyTrucks_95's topic in 2014-2019 Engine, Driveline, & Exhaust
Was what headers alone allowed tuning to look like, though. This is a tuned pull with headers, but not adjusted for them...then tuning for the headers (we ended up making more power, this was just after one iteration...) Allowed for more timing and a better ending AFR... Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using Tapatalk -
Texas speed headers
markreed replied to ChevyTrucks_95's topic in 2014-2019 Engine, Driveline, & Exhaust
I completely disagree with your comment. I have tsp headers on my truck as well. I gained power all throughout the curve. Gains were much more pronounced in higher rpms, but still enough in lower range to justify the cost. Anyone here that had done a muffler swap has even less of an argument. Heads actually provide some benefits... I don't have before and after number on this truck...because it's a truck and I didn't see the need. Any LS platform though will see gains from longtube headers. In my CTS-V I gained nearly 35 rwhp all throughout the power band, with peak at almost 45. If you tune for headers, especially in combination with other modifications, there are actual gains to be had. (Even for DDs...) Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using Tapatalk -

Sounds good! I'm debating an aftermarket muffler in addition to mine. Need a little more tone, but not too much volume Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using Tapatalk -

Fwiw, I purchased TSP headers last week and installed them on my 2013 6.2 sierra yesterday. The Y-pipe required quite a bit of work to make fit, but the headers went on really easy. Quality was on part with other header I have put on my vehicles. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using Tapatalk
