  1. I AM GETTING A SERVICE DRIVER ASSIST MESSAGE AND AT TIMES MY STEERING IS HARD AND LIGHTS DULL AT LOW SPEED MANEAUVERS. i THINK ITS MY STEERING MOTOR ASSIST. ANYONE HAD THIS HAPPEN AND HOW MUCH DID IT COST TO REPAIR. IT'S NOT THE ALTERNATOR HAD THAT CHECKED ALLREADY. THANKS, MATT
  2. I'm having the exact same issue its hard to say when it does it and its hard to duplicate with consistency. I describe it like an old squirrel cage blower motor in the dash close to the foot well. Closest I have to duplicate it is turning to the right while stopped. I cannot hear it from outside the vehicle with all the damn ticking these engines make.
  3. Hello I have a growl/chatter almost like the old blower motors in squarrel cages. Its very inconsistant and i can sometimes duplicate it by turning the wheels to the right. It makes this sound at idle faintly however i cannot hear it outside the truck. It is driving me insane.I can also feel it in the firewall near the floorboard.Sometimes it gets very loud.I have headers and they are not leaking. Please someone help

  5. Hey everyone I have a 2014 6.2 With CAI long tube headers and tune that was done previous to the headers. My truck wants to be in 4cyl mode all the damn time.Even uphill against the wind and almost 247 on the highway. The thumping 4cyl mode sounds aweful and there is a very noticeable diference when it switches.I know i can tune it off but has anyone else had their truck wanting to be in 4cyl mode that much.
  6. Im gonna get the same one was it hard to install.
  7. Guys this may seem crazy but it may be your rear leaf springs. I spent hours figuring mine out. They actually have to be greased. I noticed the pop when backing out of a driveway and turning from a stop. Apparently there is a bulletin out there to grease the leafs. I was like do we fill the blinker fluid too. lol
  8. I keep seeing a 2 piece for around 900.00 but have spoke to some driveshaft specialists who make custom driveshaft's for around 700.00.Its a little troubling that a 420 h.p truck can do 97mph in 4cyl mode with 22mpg and I cant push it any further if a Ford, Toyota, or Dodge run up on me. Guess its a ego thing. I have talked to these people and this is were I am probably getting mine. http://www.driveshaftspecialist.com/Truckhtml/Chevy-GMC.html
  9. Well according to what I was told if the walls were thicker the diameter could be smaller and that would raise critical speed. It has an amazing tune done by the same guys who do some of the street outlaw tuning and I make the payments so I will do with it how I choose.Regardless these driveshafts are garbage.I will be opting for a high performance aluminum piece very soon. And yes the critical speed of the shaft caused jump roping of the driveshaft and the stress at the work hardened area fails.
  10. I just wanted to let everyone know that if you are running the 3.73 gear that the driveshafts critical speed is around 115.It will I REAPEAT WILL start shaking and tear apart in the center at these speeds.I had one rip apart after a dyno tune and replaced the shaft with another factory one and it starts shaking around 115ish.These driveshafts are very thin walled and have cardboard in them that cant take the stress.
