Just ordered my Bilstein 6112 kit for my ‘20 GMC Sierra 1500 SLT 5.3L Crew cab X31. Trying to decide if I want to set at the 4th or 5th position. I’ve learned that anything on a ride height adjustable is best avoided at the very top height position 6. Leaning towards slot 5 which should be about 2” even. Also think the very top 2.5” position will need new UCAs to be safe, hoping to avoid that. Also, would like a slight rake, so who makes a rear block that is 1” gain? I’ve seen 1.5” and 2” rear blocks but not a lot 1”. At stock height my truck has about a 2” - 2.25” factory rake, 1” would be perfect IMO. Do these trucks come with a factory rear block? I’ve seen some people say yes, others say no....don’t know what to go off of. Post up your installs and input!

They’re ALL Ranchos from the factory. Trail Boss/AT4 trucks come with a slightly better Rancho that is a monotube design. The 5100 rears will be a good improvement to reduce the back hop. It’s still a truck though, never gonna ride like a minivan.- 388 replies

Except it’s dealer installed and warrantied. It’s only $625 for install. And with the GM kit you get calibration for front camera safety systems (which I paid a lot extra for Drivers safety packages 1 and 2) and electronic steering calibration. That alone is the only reason I’m drawn towards GM lift for peace of mind....

Eibach Pro-Truck Lift System
Tcolburntexas replied to ChevyBoy19's topic in 2019-2025 Chevy Silverado & GMC Sierra Mods
Anyone with this Eibach Pro Truck lift on the new ‘19/‘20 have concerns about needing to replace UCAs along with the kit? Keep hearing about UCA failure even with small 2” or less levels. -
Has anyone got a GM dealer to install the GM 2” factory lift with Bilstein or Fox struts/shocks? I like the GM warranty in this and only want 2” of lift for my needs, just don’t want another set of Ranchos even if they’re monotubes. Also don’t want to pay labor to install GM kit then pay a shop to install Bilstein 5100 or Fox 2.0 coilovers....

More of a rant, just surprised at the total lack of options for a 33” tire that isn’t SL 4 ply or heavy ass E load tire. My half ton truck has zero need for an load tire and the heavy unsprung weight that accompanies it, but I want a bit more off road protection and load range than an SL tire, but very few all terrain options in the middle category for either a 275/60r20 stock size.

Same. Also door panels vibrate/rattles like crazy with any slight bass from speakers. Some annoying ticking noise from headliner or b pillar by my drivers side ear that drives me nuts. Can stop it by putting pressure in headliner or B pillar but always comes back and can’t pinpoint it. The fit & finish in this truck sucks.
