  1. Anyone else get the recall from Continental in the mail today? "Continental has decided that a defect which relates to motor vehicle safety exists in certain Continental Tire brand passenger tires, in the size P275/55R20 111S Cross Contact LX20. The affected tires may exhibit localized tread wear, excessive vibration, noise and bulging in the tread area. With continued use, the tires could experience a partial or full tread/belt loss, which could increase the risk of serious injury or death. The subject tires were sold as original equipment on various 2015-2016 GM full size truck and SUV models and in the replacement market."
  2. Good to know. About how quickly did the problem reappear? What do you mean by the tires settle in the rims? Did you ever get the issue resolved for good?
  3. Bought a 2015 ten days ago and quickly discovered the vibration issue on the way home at interstate speeds. Brought to dealer, road force balance determined I needed two new tires. Two days later they ended up putting on four new tires. I was skeptical and immediately got on the highway - the problem seems to be resolved. Hope it stays this way.
  4. The Chevy dealers are not charging for all the time and work spent in the shop, correct? What if you purchase the truck used and the issue shows up? Is it still under warranty to where they will still try all the above mentioned troubleshooting?
  5. Thanks for the detailed responses, guys. Much appreciated. Now I know what to look for. Encouraged to hear it's only a small percentage of trucks that are affected. With as large as this topic is, I expected it to be much higher.
  6. Hi guys, new member here wanting to get in on this discussion as I'm in the market for a used 2014/2015 Silverado 1500. I'm not quite sure where we're at considering there's 616 pages on this thread. Can I have just a quick recap? 1. Does this problem affect all current generation Silverados? All trim levels and configurations? 2. Is every single truck off the line affected or just some random ones? What do you think the percentage is? 3. Is there an official problem that's been identified and can be fixed? 4. What is Chevrolet's official stance at this point? Thanks so much.
