  1. Putting 22s on my truck and these need to go. They have 50K on the Goodyear SRA tires. Rims have 58K on them (factory tires replaces at 8K) Rims have some early signs of spider webbing in some of the corners. No major rash or anything. I will get some close ups of each wheel. I am located in Atlanta GA but travel to Huntsville AL every week. So I can meet in either city or any inbetween such as Birmingham and Chatanooga. Will ship but prefer local deal. Thanks, Tony
  2. Truck has been vibrating since day one. It’s in the shop for the 4th time. Been in for over 2 weeks to be told it needs new tires as they are showing feathering and cupping despite this being the 4th set and they have been rotated by gm techs. gm is saying I need to pay for them since truck has 35k miles (around 25k miles on this set) should the price of these be prorated? This will be the 4th or 5th set of tires and it never fixes the issue. Also ive tried contacting gm exec and they are not helping. Don’t even have a loaner. GM told me today that I should have been balancing my tires every 6k miles and this is my fault. also I there any reason not to both file a bbb claim and get an attorney at this point? I don’t see gm helping me at all but want to see if anyone sees any downside to contacting bbb now bs later.
  3. Called my dealer today asking for an update (been in 27 days straight) and informed me that swapping the driveshaft corrected the problem. It has now spent 38 days total in the shop and vibrating since delivery and it took them this long to try something other than tires!!! Was the driveshaft swap successful for others? I am going to pick it up tonight or tomorrow.
  4. Ive had my truck in the shop for the 2nd time now and Monday will be the 18th day straight in the shop. I contacted GM about the issue per the recommendation of my dealer after requesting for trade assist or trade for different GM vehicle. Told the rep that called me back what was going on and that the vibration has occurred since the day I picked up the truck back in August. GM told me that some engineers would now be getting involved. I am a little worried about which lemon law state I am supposed to be following because I purchased the truck in Illinois, I have been living in Alabama but I keep my cars registered in Michigan because I move around once every 12 months for work. I have been getting the truck serviced in Alabama so if anyone has any insight on which lemon law applies to me please share. I am scared that I may have to get it serviced in the state of Michigan to qualify. On a side note the GM rep asked me how I like my loaner and I quickly informed her I was not given a loaner and I had waited a month for one to become available and eventually got sick of waiting and just dropped it off and have been using a jobsite company truck from my project. She called the dealer and they set me up with an enterprise. Picked up a 16 Silverado LT with 15K miles this morning as a rental and it has 0 vibration. It was so weird to feel how the truck should ride on my daily commute. Complete night and day difference. At this point I want out of my truck, 8K miles of vibration has probably already taken its toll on a number of parts and I have serious doubts they will get it right. If I have the option I am going to try and get a Chevy SS instead of a truck and not roll the dice on anoter vibrator.
  5. @jesse D- any tips to get dealer to buyback? Mine is still in shop for first visit. (11 days and counting) I'd be cool with a few grand trade assist as long as they don't make me get another truck! I really want to just get a sedan at this point...
  6. I was finally able to get a loaner about 10 days ago so I dropped off my 16 with 6k miles for vibration. I know they have road forced balanced multiple times and replaced all the tires at least once. I'm going to start asking for trade assist now.
  7. I brought my 1 month old 16 Sierra to Royal GMC in Birmingham AL this evening. I explained the issues I was having and jokingly called it the chevy shakes. The techs explained that this would take up to a week to diagnose but they are only allowed to give me a rental car for 5 days and requested I come back next week. They did say several customers have come in for similar issues and on a couple occasions they had to deal with GM in regards to a buyback. I asked if I could bring to another GM dealer and they said that was fine. Rode over to Hendrick Chevy in Hoover AL and the tech said he would rather I come ack tomorrow to get me a loaner lined up. My question is do I need to be selective on which dealer to diagnose or will I have similar outcomes regardless of where I go? The shake started when I left Laura GMC and got on the highway back to bama. At the time I had no idea this was an issue and if I did I would have taken it back and flown home. If this cant be fixed I would strongly prefer to just ditch the GM truck completely and get a Chevy SS so I don't get another shaker. (Would this be an option if I paid the difference in MSRP?)
  8. I'll be bringing my 16 in tomorrow. I purchased new from Laura buick and noticed the vibration on the way home within 5 minutes. I did a short test drive but never got to highway speeds. Really wish I would have known about how bad the vibe issues were and I would have looked for it. I've had it about a month and put 4K on the clock. Get vibrations between 70-80. It's enough to be annoying. I can see the passenger seat vibrating while I drive. Feel it in the steering wheel and floorboard. Any tips for first time in? Based on what I've read I'd take msrp credit and buy a non Silverado/Sierra product now
