  1. Tell them to put a set of slicks on it and drive it... see if they still tell you it's the tread pattern...
  2. I don't have the NFABs, so I can't speak to those... but I've got the tubular DeeZee nerf bars, and in my opinion the molded steps on those are also too far forward. Stepping up into the truck is fine, but getting out, the foot placement is a bit unnatural. I've gotten used to it, though.
  3. Yeah, the GM press release said it should take about 30 minutes. Someone else here said to plan on 3 hours. I called to make the appointment and they told me 2 hours.
  4. Ok, then maybe it was poor wording on your part? You said "Carplay came preloaded on all, but the Android Auto was behind and had to be updated. Hence you either had the "projection" icon or not." The segments in bold do not agree with each other. ;)
  5. My understanding was that a batch of 16s were built with the 15 radio, thus no Apple Carplay or Android Auto, thus the $200 credit and no projection icon. If all trucks were loaded with Apple Carplay, then all would have the projection icon because Iphone users could still use Carplay... no need to remove capability from those users because of a lack of Android Auto, which Iphone users wouldn't need anyway.
  6. Mine does this occasionally... from what I've read, it's referred to as a "shift flare" or "flare shift." And that's the extent of my knowledge on the topic. ;)
  7. I love mine as well, along with the GM Borla dual out the back exhaust! I was going to order from the same place, but I talked my dealer into price matching (almost). Not even close to dealer prices, but cheaper than it would've cost me to order and have it shipped myself. ;) As for the filter element itself... my dealer told me these were not washable/reusable?
  8. If you have the "Projection" icon on your screen, then yes... it's a free update that can be done at the dealer, though I've heard reports of anywhere between 30 minutes and 3 hours for the install. I had mine done last Friday, along with the update for the airbag recall. 2 hours and 15 minutes for both.
  9. Dee Zee has pretty reasonable prices for their running boards and nerf bars.
  10. The day I bought it: I've since added WeatherTech bug shield and rain guards, DeeZee nerf bars, and (not pictured) WeatherTech mud flaps and tailgate liner, DeeZee bed mat, Husky underseat cargo box, GM Borla dual out the rear exhaust, and GM cold air intake.
  11. Sorry, that's the only pic I have at the moment. The brand is DeeZee. Here's a link: http://www.deezee.com/3-Round-UltraBlack-Nerf-Bars/p43
  12. This happened to my 2016 Silverado Z71 before I even got it off the lot. The sales guy was going over all the various features with me, and the radio controls stopped working, other than one ones on the steering wheel. Could change stations and volume, but it didn't show any change on the screen. He said it was working 5 minutes before when they were finishing the detailing job. Anyway, it was a dealer transfer and only came with one key and fob, so they had another set on order for me.... said if it still wasn't working when I came back a few days later to pick up the new key/fob, they'd look at it. So I drove it home, and the next time I started it, everything was working fine. The only issue I've had since is one day last week the MyLink apparently decided to reboot while I was on my way to work.
