I just picked up my 2016 2500HD yesterday and my Navigation system only has Apple Play support. If your head unit is the correct version the dealership can upgrade the software on your head unit/radio to add the Android Auto support. I was told by a dealer that I should be receiving a certificate from GM that I need to take to my dealer to upgrade the radio (It's how the dealer gets paid for the time it takes to do the upgrade). On Star support said that from a new purchase it should take 7 to 10 business days to get the certificate. If you have had your truck three weeks or more, you might try contacting onstar and ask them if your truck support Android Auto. Hope this helps.
