  1. Id assume running aux lights in the horse trailer But also they have lots of lights so without a second battery it can draw alot from a single battery.
  2. I would say it would handle it. Just make sure its balanced right and the weight is mainly over the trailer wheels. One thing to keep in mind is most of thoes trailers do not have trailer brakes so a brake checkup on your truck and new brakes wouldnt be a bad investment.
