  1. Just picked up my 2020 3500 SRW gas yesterday and drove home. Double cab LT with a Knapheide KUVCC body. It pulls to the right as well. Have to hold wheel at about 10 oclock to keep it straight. Gonna drive some more and get some highway time to see if its the roads or the truck.
  2. I tried. They won't tell me anything. They said its proprietary information. Which tells me it did have issues before me.
  3. Bought used with 9k miles. No lemon law for used in TN. I'm stuck with it. The Magnuson-moss act isn't worth the time to pursue from what I have read. You would think the dealer would try and make it right but they really don't care either. All I can do is move on from the GM garbage and tell everyone I know to look elsewhere for automobiles. The GM quality we grew up with died a while back in my opinion.
  4. 20s they put the new exhaust on mine already. It worked for about 3 weeks then the problems returned. I have new michelins, new ring and pinion, exhaust, new gm wheels. The booming at low speeds and buffeting when in v4 mode are my issues.
  5. 15 LTZ. 5.3. Idk about the new ones not doing it. Several on here with 16s are having the same trouble. I bought mine used. It had 9k miles on it. I don't qualify for TN lemon laws. I would only have the federal ones which aren't as good. I'm prob gonna just take the loss on a trade in somewhere else and move on from GM.
  6. Well I am extremely disappointed in GM. I opened a case with GM customer assistance at the direction of my dealer. He informed me they have tried everything that can be tried as directed by GM but he cant get the booming and buffeting out of it. The GM case worker called me today and informed they are closing my case. She said mine doesnt boom and buffet as loud as the others so they are considering it acceptable. I was shocked that someone could use such logic. I informed her I was extremely unsatisfied and that answer is simply unacceptable. She didnt care and said my case is closed sorry your unhappy with their determination. What a joke GM has become. Its not like I was bringing it in for some noise they couldnt find. They acknowledge it is not fixed but simply dont care. Im so furious over this.
  7. at low speeds te boom seems worse to me as well. If you go from paved to gravel it will jar your ears.
  8. Hello again. Sorry I could not provide specifics for what the dealer did to mine last time. I think mine was one of the first with the newer exhaust. Sadly it's back at the dealer again. The boom has returned. The buffering had gotten worse again For a couple weeks it did great and I was beginning to fall in love with it again. Then like a light switch the problems are back. They are gonna keep working on it. Supposedly a GM engineer is gonna look at jt next week as there is another one there for service with the same issues. In a years time this thing has been at the dealer prob 45-60 days. Of course we got a used Tahoe to drive 2015 ltz just like mine. Same mileage. 30k and booms and buffets just as bad. Unfortunately for me I bought mine used with 9k miles on it. No lemon law return for me
  9. I hate to not have specifics but I dont. Even on my service ticket it doesnt say what they did. I was just told by the service manager what they did. I took it in for the booming and buffeting. The service manager and I know each other real well by now. They have had it on several different occasions for other issues Ive had with it. This thing has been a gremlin for noises. This specific time I took it in for the booming/buffeting. Other times have been rearend whine, whistling noises, vibrations. The booming/buffeting has always been there but it was very faint and kind of last on my list to address. After a recent oil change/ tire rotation it got very bad. They had it for a week and kept updating me daily that they were still trying to find the source. Near the end of the week they called and told me they had an updated muffler they took off another vehicle and tried it on mine and they were kind of floored by the difference it made. They told me they were going to order the updated one for mine and it had to come from GM and it might take a couple weeks to get. Then the next day they said GM told them to leave it on mine and they would order the replacement for the other vehicle. When I picked it up I asked if they took it off a new one on the lot and he said no it was ordered for another customers vehicle who has having the same issues as mine. Maybe a picture would be worth a thousand words. Ill try to take some and post them so we can compare. Ill try to get more answers from the dealer as well. After a couple weeks of driving it I can definately say the booming is almost gone. Its still there but very faint. The buffeting or vibrating sound of the roof is not as bad but I think it still needs more work. All in all so far I would say 85% of the boom is gone and 50% of the buffeting is gone.
  10. I'm gonna keep working with my dealer on getting the remaining buffeting out. It's not bad at all now but for the 70k we paid for this it's not gonna make a sound.
  11. I'm not sure on what it consists of. From what it looks like underneath it looks like from the muffler back is all new. We're on 2 weeks now with the new setup and I keep waiting to here the booming but don't anymore. Time will tell I guess. There is still some buffeting but it's very little. I'm not sure whether the new ones have this now or not. I would assume they do.
  12. Been a lurker for a while following the forum. Have a 2015 Tahoe LTZ. The buffeting and booming had gotten to where the vehicle was very hard to drive. You would have ringing in your ears after a short drive. Our dealer Beaty Chevrolet has been great to work with. They put an updated exhaust system on ours and it made a huge difference in the booming and buffeting. It's still there but I would say they took 80-85% of it out with the new exhaust. We've had lots of things tried like ring and pinion, tires etc. but nothing made a difference until this. Thought I would share.
