Truck is cleaned, trailer attached & bike is loaded....northbound to AMERICADE , Lake George NY.

16-2500HD Z71 Silverado-DMAX- with & without trailer DIC repeatedly dictates trailer brake needs servicing. Dealer replaced 7pt receptacle as it showed signs of water corrosion & relay located under spare tire. 1/2 hour labor & all fixed & under warranty : ) . This youtube link is not my video but it appears to cover my issue.

Brought the trailer in to have the bearings packed & new seals. Getting ready for snowmobiling season.

Neat article....Going to try it .... On the 16 LTZ 2500 the mirrors are large but can be misconceiving. I find myself looking at the upper part (larger) when a more realistic and accurate view as it relates to blind spots is depicted in the lower portion.

No doubt for me traileroutlet is a bit out of the way ( 5 hours from NYC & 4 hours from our Place in Pittsburg NH ) but he has never let me down. Fair on price and stands behind his work. Most important I am of the opinion he is very knowledgable about setting up trailers. This is my third from him as I have upgraded throughout the years. Do you snowmobile ? Maine ? Stay safe. We are not nearly done with winter here in the Northeast but I could use your cleaning talent. : ) . Here is my girl "Allison" resting in Saguenay Quebec last week after making a two day jaunt from NYC to Pittsburg NH to Saguenay Quebec. Went to the self serve car wash on our return to NH. I only used the water to attempt to clean her but it was of little assistance. I didn't have the heart to run the car wash brush over her. Come spring I think I would have regretted it. 2016 - 2500 Silverado with 2400 miles on it - 57 hours on the motor...While trailering a 29' - aluminum 4 place snowmobile trailer from Pittsburg NH to Saguenay Quebec in 28F weather the cluster reads DEF level is @ 30%. Not a big deal, pull over and top off the fluid. 150 miles later & 2 -3 on off engine cycles the DEF gauge still does not register full but had dropped to 28%. Fortunately Arnold Chevrolet is located next to the hotel in Saguenay. After dropping the trailer I drop in unannounced hoping they tell me to turn the key and press the pedal a # of times and it will reset. NOT ! The service writer informs me it doesn't work that way. A technician was required to reset the gauge by means of computer. I am told that was the only way. A 1/2 hour labor for a total $ 65CAD + - and my gauge has been reset and I am out the door. The service manager told me to claim the $ with my dealer when I return to the states. I'm happy as ARNOLD Chevrolet dealt with my issue immediately with no messing around as it was near closing time when I stopped in. I only hope the DEF gauge continues to read "OK" on the way home as we have a lot of hills to pull in not so so nice weather conditions during the 310 mile one way trip trip and can't afford this beast to go into limp mode because of a faulty DEF reading. Wish me well on the return trip....

What did I do my Silverdao today? I had the GM dealer installed a GM Tonneau cover and the local car spa / detailer wax the truck with simoniz diamond plate ceramic paint coating. WOW ! I'm loving it.
