  1. I got in contact with another shop who can do the whole delete, I'm waiting on a quote for that vs the OEM swap from the shop where the truck is now.
  2. Dose the truck not need a tune and DOD delete when swapping that out also?
  3. I sent my truck in to the shop for a cylinder 4 misfire. They say that the right side lifters are bad and that they also dug down to confirm the cam shaft is also scored and would need replaced. This is the second time this has happened, the first at around 65k miles under warranty. The shop isn't similar with the AFM delete stuff it seems so my options seem to be; replace with OEM CAM and lifters etc, get some sort of used replacement engine or get a reman from the dealer. Mileage is only 120k or so. What are the best options going forward if I plan to keep the truck?
  4. Title says it all. I've got a '15 Silverado 1500 with the 5.3 and for some time now my exhaust smells real rich like I'm not burning fuel properly. Has anyone else run into this? Is there anything I can check or do to make sure it's running right and isn't causing further issues before taking it to the dealer? This engine had work done earlier in the year to have a lifter fixed but I've only noticed this in recent months. I have 90k miles so if there's an engine issue I want it corrected before my warranty is out but at the same time I don't want to pay the dealer diagnostic pricing for them to tell me it's not covered. Thoughts?
  5. Unfortunately for you my issue was I had the wrong harness. The pinout on the connector was not the same as my original one, I almost think it was for a GMC not Chevy.
  6. Looks like you're right. I tried to use the sensors and harness that came with the bumper and they are not wired in the same order on the connector as the old one. I'll have to remove both harnesses and swap them. Does anyone know what the size is of the push mount zip ties? I'll have to cut the zip ties to swap harnesses and I'd like to do it right.
  7. It's in the same connector as the license plate light wires and those work fine.
  8. Today I installed an OEM takeoff bumper that I had purchased on Ebay. After getting the lights and sensors re-connected after mounting the bumper, when I go into reverse I get the message on the screen "Rear Parking Assist Symbols Unavailable". Connector seems fine and tight and all sensors look connected as far as I can tell. Does this require some sort of re-programming by the dealer by chance or am I missing something?
  9. Just to note my experience, I too had to use the brown/yellow and thicker grey/green. 2015 Silverado 1500 LT. Mine also wasn't fully locking, it wasn't pushing far enough so I've temporary added zip ties for the arm to hit.
