  1. 2016 Silverado will be 2 years old on July 1st. Wife and I were out tonight and when we left the last spot, AC took a minute to fire up which I noticed to be unusual. Also, the white backlights on the dash are not lit up on the AC controls, also unusual. AC finally starts to blow but it is not cold. What I find confusing is that there was no build up to this failure. I would expect a failing AC to gradually build up to a total failure, not it working literally 1 hour prior to it not working. Based on this, my optimistic side would like to think this is a simple fix. AC systems are not something I’m good at diagnosing so I’m at the mercy of a mechanic or the good folks of this forum. My pessimistic side is ready to throw in the towel on this truck. The fuel pump went out at 35,000 miles and now the AC. I have a front end chatter started after installing the front end level kit. It’s been looked at by 3 different shops and no one can tell me why. This truck has been nothing but problems. The AC is my major concern because I live in south Texas and AC is as important as fuel here. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Have any of y'all with bad reception called or complained about it? I made a video of the shitty reception and put it on Chevy's Facebook page. I got a response in less than a day
  3. Ok good, I'm not the only one. My wife has a 2017 Camaro and her reception is awful too. I too am considering canceling my subscription. iHeart radio is free and is almost the same type of stations.
  4. Anybody else experiencing in and out reception with Sirius XM? I have several stations that go in and out in the same places all over town (Houston). Antennae is not being blocked and nothing in interfering with the signal. They're like large black out areas and I keep finding more. I have contacted Chevrolet and Sirius via their Facebook pages. Chevrolet seemed way more concerned about the problem than Sirius but they were also deflecting the problem onto Sirius instead to trying to fix the problem themselves. Sirius only offered to give me a $10 credit towards my next bill. I feel this is a Chevy issue and not Sirius because my 2010 F150 I had before my Silverado had zero issues with reception.
  5. I've ran thru 4 or 5 tanks with both settings and same results returned m every time. I wonder if this is something I should bring up to the dealership? Sent from my SM-G935T using Tapatalk No sunroof Sent from my SM-G935T using Tapatalk
  6. Why wouldn't you but a 4x4 in Texas??? Because of reasons... 1. I plan on lifting it. Lifting a 2WD truck is like buying a V6 sports car 2. I like to go mudding 3. I can afford one
  7. To answer some of your questions... Yes I live in Houston so our winter is non-existent. I think it lasted 3 days this year. My driving habits are the same whether in 2WD or AWD. I drive like a 70 year old. I drive the same route 5-7 days a week, about 55 miles a day. I only use Shell gas and usually from the same store I use the AWD because the truck gets amazing traction, wet or dry.
  8. Topic for the Z71 owners only. All wheel drive? Auto wheel drive? Whatever it is, can we agree that it turns all 4 wheels? OK, moving on. First off, I've tried several tanks of gas and all have the same outcome. I get 2-3 better MPG in AWD than 2WD. Now the MPG is only 17 MPG in AWD compared to 14-15 MPG in 2WD but it's still better. According to the owner's manual and common sense, 2WD should be the more fuel efficient option. 17 MPG in AWD is great but 19-20 in 2WD would be awesome. 2 part question on this post... What kind of MPG are y'all getting with your stock Z71? Can anybody explain my MPG pattern? BTW, my 2016 Z71 is pretty much stock besides the 2.25" level kit and Magnaflow exhaust.
  9. Sorry for the car wash pic but I couldn't take one of it dirty. Only emblems on my truck with the exception of the tailgate bowtie Sent from my SM-G935T using Tapatalk
  10. I de-badged my tailgate but left just the bowtie. I took the huge Texas edition emblem off and replaced them with the huge Z71 emblems. I also took off the Z71 decals off the bed. I love the look. Sent from my SM-G935T using Tapatalk
