  1. Meh, only difference in the consoles is rigidity. Nothing more than that. The less rigid the feature the more likely to develop some type of movement. If it were that easy i would have a "flow through" console.
  2. Put a catch can on it. They burn plenty of oil on blow by, the catch can helps with that and keeps the intake cleaner.

  4. Let us know if that vibration starts after they rotate tires the first time. As for the shifting or lack there of he's right but you will be the one adapting to it not the truck. I wish you the best of luck with your new purchase.
  5. Spending your time and money to fix a brand new 50,000 dollar truck, getting bullied and ignored by dealerships, having to hire an attorney for lemon law purposes just to get resolution or a buyback, and when none of that pans out having to spend hundreds if not thousands of dollars out of pocket to fix a new truck with less than 10000 miles all with no guarantee is making a mountain out of a molehill??? I am really glad you cleared that up for me. Thanks for the reality check.
  6. As I just previously stated, I understand where you are coming from a lot of us do I think you might have misconstrued what I am saying to you. I do not disagree with anything you have said, I am just saying to take it to a bigger scale that is all so please do not get offensive in thinking I am rebutting your point when I am agreeing with you just thinking on a bigger scale that is all.....And honestly they do not give a care about any one of us whatsoever. Is there anyone in this 756 page forum that has been silenced? Now back to the forum......
  7. Or, slander mean to injure by speaking ill of. There are a couple meanings or definitions of this term and all are subject to interpretation. Meaning i want to start a campain against this company by speaking ill of them. Then if you would like we can break down the definition of ill next, i am sure there are a few. My favorite is as follows, Ill:a : not meeting an accepted standard ill manners b archaic : notably unskillful or inefficient But i do understand where you are coming from on the issue.
  8. He is completely correct, as soon as they see aftermarket parts you are done for! I went through the same thing, spent a lot of money on no warranty voiding upgrades and was told I still voided my warranty and would have to pay out of pocket for any repairs associated with the vibration issue. What did I install you ask? Wheels and tires and cat back dual exhaust, neither of which at any other manufacturers dealership will void your warranty. My advice is the same as most, get rid of it while you can and hope the dealer you take it to doesn't ask if it has the "Chevy shake"
  9. What? I am having a hard time understanding what you are even trying to say. I will try not to be "rude" but If you don't have anything constructive to say then stay quiet. There are a lot of people on this forum who have problems and would love a fix, and that doesn't have shit to do with "them' being way overpaid. Who's side are you on anyway, your own? I believe you also called your truck a chicken?
  10. I have a 15 Z71 that came stock with 18's and good years, it also vibrated intermittently over about 68 mph. I put 20's on it with BFG All terrain t/a ko2's and it shook the teeth out of my head, but not all the time. Had them damn things balanced 3 times, It got a little better but was still there. It really seemed magnified with the 20's on it. After fighting with the dealer who refused to service the truck because I had aftermarket tires and exhaust on it. I put the 18's back on in no particular order and the vibration was almost nonexistent, until they did the service and rotated the tires. Out of both sets of tires I had each balanced 3 times by either the dealer or the local tire shop. As of right now the vibration is minimal but is still there, talk about wasting 2k on wheels and tires, that you cant use, on an off road edition pick up truck that comes from the factory with radial tires....WTF So what happens when you have to get new tires??? Go through the whole horseshit circus again??
  11. I had to complain to them about documenting the issue correctly all 3 times i went in. Made them rewrite the invoice. They were not very happy with that. After that they threw my aftermarket parts up in my face, told me that i voided my warranty and any repairs that they would do iwould have to pay out of pocket for. Following that conversation i called the 1-800 GM cystomer service number to complain about how i was treated. The following day after they contacted the dealership they returned my call stating word for word what the dealer told me about voiding ny warranty. Complete bullshit and i am done with them, decided to try and figure it out myself.
  12. I have a question and anyone can feel free to chime in on this. Out of the 727 pages of information generated by pissed off GM customers, how many accumulated problems With these trucks have we compiled? 1. Vibrations 2. Frame beaming/ cab mount issues 3. Preload incorrect on pinion 4. Tires, rims, tires and tires 5. Front wheel bearings 6. Ring and pinion/ carrier assembly 7. Driveshaft 8. AFM 9. Aftermarket exhaust 10.
  13. Haven't posted on this topic since September so here it is: Removed Flowmaster exhaust, removed 20" Denali wheels, replaced with stock 18's on Shi*ty Good Years. Vibration still there. Installed 2" drop shackles on rear vibration decreased some but still there. Going for rear sway bar kit next. Should be in this week will install and update. Also a small footnote, after removing aftermarket exhaust and wheel combo as dealer said still had the problem. I put the 20's with the bfg all terrain t/a's on my burban and no vibration, so its not the wheel tire combo. I would really like to run the 20" wheels but it looks like a no go. I am also having the pinion checked for preload after reading up on that some, as well as entertaining the thought of replacing axles and drive shaft to a steel 2 piece. Sounds like a parts replacement marathon right? Dealer update: When I went through rounds 1,2, and 3 with the incompetent dealer service department they voided the warranty on my truck because of the aftermarket exhaust, wheels, and tires, they even went so far as to have GM customer service notify me of this as well. these as*holes really didn't want to fix my truck.
  14. Just took my 2015 Silverado Z71 in today for the airbag recall and the infamous chevy shake. Since purchase and the begining of the "shake" i have installed 20" denali wheels with bfg all terrain t/a's still have the "shake". I asked the dealer if installing dual exhaust would void my warranty and they said no, but now it conveniently seems to be a problem since they cant figure out what the vibration is. The service manager tells me that the outlaw flow master exhaust I installed on my truck is creating a backpressure issue causing the vibration, lol....exhaust causing a chassis issue I don't think so. So he tells me until I put the truck back to completely stock they will not work on it or call a gm engineer in to look at it. He also tells me the engineer will say that the truck has been modified and will not look at it because of the flowmasters and replacement wheels and tires I put on it. Crock of !@#$, and nothing but excuses.
