    I replaced the radio and and it’s worked fine ever since. They said it was an internal short in the radio control unit.

    Sean,  I just today started having a similar problem with my 2015 HD diesel silverado.  The Mylink screen goes to whatever it want, then scrolls through different things, goes blank, refuses to respond to touch, sends screen to dashboard monitor randomly.  Did you ultimately get the problem to be resolved?   Did it take a new radio or the removal of the insulation from under the ground bolt?  (I too, am from LI)   

    The dealer's service people have never heard of this and I have an appt for service in 6 days for them to have an initial look at it.  Hope to find my own cheaper fix.

      They replaced the radio and that solved it.  They said it was an internal short.

    My worry was that a new radio wasn’t going to fix it so I wanted any repair covered by the dealer. Another user had been having a similar issue and for him the problem continued after replacing the radio. Had I known a new radio would definitively fix it I would have gone with the kenwood restyle

    Still working fine. Cost about $750 including labor (1 hour diag 1 hour install). Probably could have installed myself no problem but I’m always paranoid I’m going to snap a trim piece or clips

    I just got mine fixed while I was on vacation last week. They said it was an internal short in the radio control unit and installed a new radio. Seems to have fixed the issue entirely, although yours sounds like it’s doing things mine wasn’t. I wish I had just connected a different radio and see if that fixed it because I would have gone aftermarket rather than a new oem. Apparently there’s a TSB out for it but I don’t know the #.     So I replaced the radio and it seems to have fixed everything. They said it was an internal short in the radio control unit. If I had known that replacing the radio would fix it (the few other people I found with similar issue said replacing it didn’t fix it) I would have just gone with the Alpine 9” unit but you can’t re-install the factory radio after installing that one and I was worried that wouldn’t solve it.     I actually just did the trans fluid/filter, brake fluid, transfer case and front/rear diff fluids albeit at 60k miles and not 45k. My truck shifts so much smoother now. It was starting to get those hard shifts the last few months or so. I drive on the beach a lot so the fresher the fluids the better imo. Never know where sand gets into.     Goddamned the 2019’s are ugly. Glad I planned on keeping my 2015 til she dies. And those Denali rims have to be the ugliest set of rims I’ve seen on a truck. I’d rather have steel wheels than those. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
