Wifi Hotspot on while Truck is off?
Webhair replied to Chris Schultz's topic in 2015-2019 Silverado HD & Sierra HD
But I wonder if leaving it on (in Acc mode) and connected to a camper and the camper being connected to street power will actually charge the truck as well as the camper. -

Following as I work from my camper on extended vacations. I was wondering the same thing. -

In my case, the TSB C still failed the specs after they tired. The direction from GM was to replace the steering box. The tech at Jim Ellis in Buford also drives a 3500 and knows what he is doing. -

You mentioned GA 400 - I would be curious as to which dealers you have tried. So far I have good luck with the GMC dealer in Buford. So far so good on the repairs they did on mine - they had to replace the steering box as TSD C did not work. I will admit - I am not a ford person at all but I have been looking at them as a replacement if it fails again... I have had Rams before - they have their own problems. -

That is the same part number that was in mine. 1500 miles and no issues. Hopefully it stays that way. -

Wow - sorry to hear that. Hopefully the dealer is treating you right. When I booked my appointment I asked about a loaner and they said if they did not have one they could set me up with something from enterprise. So far I have had mine back a week and no issues with it. -

got my truck back yesterday after 8 days... According to the service manager and the paper work they performed the steps in #PIT5501C but it was still out of tolerances. So they had to get in a replacement gear box in and install it. I can say after 100 miles on it - all is better. Like new. Still do not know what caused it or if it will happen again. For the oil leak they found the upper oil panel bolts a little loose and resealed and torqued them down. We will see on that one. They did add some die and will look for it during the next oil change but they did not find any leaks after the repair. -

More bad news... I heard from the dealer today. The steering gear box is on national back order until November 21st... Which is the day we are supposed to leave with our camper for a 6 day PLANNED trip. Unbelievable !!!! -

Dropped my 2016 Denali 3500HD dually with 11K on it off yesterday for the same thing. 3 inches of slop in the steering and oil drops on the bell housing... I hope this not going to take long. I need it back in two weeks for a trip with a 32 trailer trailer RV... The loaner Canyon baby truck is not enjoyable and will not work for me for this trip... I need to tow a 10K trailer. I too think it is crappy that I am having this much trouble with a 5 month old truck at 11K. The worst part is I intentionally bought now instead of waiting on the 17's because I did not want to deal with first year issues.
