  1. 2017 Sierra 1500 SLT with Tow package. 25,000km. Truck has a clunk noise when hoping a curb or driving slow on bumpy roads. Brough it for same issue about 8000km ago. They asked if I had the truck rust proofed. Which I had. They claimed they needed to lubricate an area. I didn’t ask where at the time and it did not state on the work order. Clunk was gone. Now it’s coming back. Anyone know where it’s coming from? Definitely rear end area. What is bothering me is lubricant is obviously only a bandaid. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  3. I have the same truck, same set-up. My truck made the same noise when I picked it up from the dealer. I figured they gave me 50$ of reg gas.... yep. Topped up the tank with 93 it got better instantly. Next fill -100%. I don't always get a chance to put 93 but no pinging with 91 Octane. It's a 6.2 lt. giver what she needs. Fyi - you'll likely get better gas mileage. Just FYI - I kicked a 5.0lt 2017 Ford last weekend and I was pulling a heavier boat. He put $60 regular and my 6.2 took $46 same distance.... he didn't talk much about his Ford rest of the weeken!!! I'm Actually impressed with the gas mileage for a 6.2. and It never stressed me out when I bought it. Who buys / drives a new truck and then comments they can't afford the gas...??? Sorry had to be said. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Truck has the automatic shutters. Anyone know of a manufacturer who makes a behind grille LED light bar that will fit in trucks fitted with these shutters? Not interested in installing on the bumper or roof. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Damn shutters. I also want to add a hidden LED light bar. If anyone hears of one I'm all ears!
  6. Drove it to empty. She holds 98 litres. Alarm goes off with approx 4 gal left in tank Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. We'll see. When The fuel light comes it only takes 20 gal to fill. Absolutely silly to have a fuel light come on this early. I am going to suck it dry later today and see how many miles can be done once that warning light goes off. Will put in 5 gal then pull into the next gas station to fill. That will give me the facts. 8. Interesting Stereo. Guessing your fuel light came. How many miles did you drove approx after it did. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Stereo / bushleague - have either of you tried to drive the truck past the alarm to see how many miles / gallons it actually has to empty? I can't understand why they would determine that we need a 5-6 gallon cushion to refuel. Nobody does that and it's very mis-leading. I may put a jerry can in my truck and drive to dry... not ideal case but I may just try it. When we travel for fishing/hunting or visiting family in north Ontario there are not many/any gas stations available and none open after 6-7pm. Having to travel with jerry cans on these trips is not the ideal situation. My wife and kids travel often north... hate to have her have to put fuel in the truck with a can....just in case. Keep y'all posted. Thanks for all your responses. I spoke to dealership yesterday. As far as they are aware it should be a 98lt/26 gal tank so they are also puzzled with my situation to date but are willing to investigate after my next fill-up. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Wow. This is nuts. Mine's a 2017. Pulled the manual and it states 26 gal - 98lt. I'm gonna drive this thing to near dry again and film the whole filling process. Swear it only takes 75 -77 lt from empty. Hope I'm wrong but only filled it once. I'll post. FYI - my manual also states 98lt tank. Hope they didn't install the wrong tank! Fixable but a pain in the ass! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. It's not 26 gallons. Look it up. Even on the GM website they do not advertise it - cause they know some guys won't touch'm! It's 20. You own one? What year/model/ box? Dealership confirmed. That's why I'm looking to see if anyone knows of any aftermarket tanks for 1500. They have some for 2500 and 3500 I've seen but not 1500. As for carrying weigt - it's a truck. If I was worried about that I wouldn't have bought a truck. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Picked up new Sierra SLT, 6.2 lt, max Tow package with 6.6' box. Filled her up for the first time today and to my surprise she only took 75Lt / 20 gal from empty!!!!. I had asked for a large tank option early in the discussions only to be told it was not an option.... but I expected a 98 lt (26 gal) s per my 2007 and other newer GM's I had been in. Why would GM think a 75 lt tank would work for true truck buyers/users! Especially with a 6.2 lt and 6.6' box. I'm a extremely disappointed. Does anyone know if there are larger aftermarket gas tanks for these trucks available or if there is even room to put a larger tank by chance. Had I known I'm not convinced I would have purchased although I am a GM guy at heart! I'm in the Toronto Ontario area. Ford can put a 120 or 135lt tank... why can't GM! Not in a good place right now Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
