  1. The thing is I can't remember noticing this any other winter... I do tend to notice things like battery charge/engine temp etc. Thanks!
  2. Hi guys, I've got a 2016 GMC Sierra 1500 5.3 and recently this winter I have noticed that when it gets "cold" i.e. anything roughly 45 degrees or below the temp gauge doesn't quite get to center. It stays roughly 1 dash below center even after allowing the truck to fully warm up. During my commute which is on city streets it doesn't warm up all of the way. I have included a picture to demonstrate what I am seeing. I cannot remember this ever happening before although I am reluctant to take it in if there is anything I can do on my end to fix it. Does anyone know of any TSB's out there that might address this issue? I have done some searching on the forum but nothing seems to quite replicate this. Most of the TSB's seem to involve radiator issues if i'm not mistaken? Also this picture is taken when it is 10 degrees outside. Anyway, thanks for all of your help! Keep Trucking!
  3. I have about 12K on mine right now and love them. Fantastic for the price and I would get another set in a heartbeat. Quiet for the design and tread pattern and wearing like iron right now. I have them at 37psi right now and that seems to be about perfect. I can not recommend these enough over the BFG and stock Goodyear’s.
  4. I have a 2016 1500 GMC Sierra Extended cab All Terrain and I was wondering if it was possible or if anyone has added a driver assist handle on the windshield pillar (A pillar). thanks!
  5. I have this in my ‘16 with 63k miles on it. I’m super irritated because I consciously use the running boards and try not to slide out of the seat. I’m not a big guy only 185lbs. I’m over warranty obviously but is this a known problem? The carbon fiber vinyl I though would be MORE durable since it’s pure plastic... ugh
  6. The price of the falken is VERY attractive to me... there's a thread over on a toyota 4 runner forum that has 72 pages with guys putting that tire through hell and back and it seems to perform very well for a P rated XL tire. I dont do any offroading but do drive through some mu and definitely alot of snow up here in wisconsin.
  7. Thanks! I think I'm going to go with the Falken. Looks more aggressive and has the same 55K warrant. Hopefully my experience is a positive one!
  8. Those look great. Does anyone have any pics of the Coopers?
  9. Thank you for all of the reply's. Has anyone had any comments on what it takes to balance the Falken's. I have read that others have had a hard time balancing them... They really do look like an agressive tire! Anyone have any comments as to XL vs. LT rating? I dont need a 10 ply E rated tire but I also don't want something that is to soft.
  10. the trans flush helped me. i have not heard about the TC replacement. is this a new thing?
  11. Hi guys and gals. I have been searching the forum for topics like this and there is a bunch of great info out there, however, I am looking to see if there are any individuals out there who seriously considered both the Cooper and the Falken tire. The Falken is a little cheaper but I have heard some reviewers have had a bad experience with treadwear and others with the Cooper have reported issues with "noise", all relative I suppose when the tire wears down a bit. I really like the look of both tires and am really conflicted on which to choose. I had Nitto TerraGrapplers in the past but they are a little pricey for me right now. I would be considering 275/55/20 and 285/55/20. I like the look of a more square look as I will be mounting them on the stock 20's on my 2016 GMC Sierra 1500 All Terrain. Thanks!
  12. good luck man try the software update and the twin trans fluid flush. it helps a lot. however it seems that GM phoned in the development of the 8 speed as the 10 speed they were co developing with Ford ate up resources. Nothing pisses me off more than spending 50K+ on a truck and having us be beta testers on a piece of equipment that they have not fully ironed all of the kinks out of. Do they think we're Tesla fanboys willing to be testers on a half assed piece of engineering? My fear now is that they will stop releasing software updates for our problems because they have the 10 speed coming out now...
