  1. 22 2500 gas Upper and lower ball joints, tie rods, pitman and idler arm. couldn't find anything on the driveshaft or 7 joints. am I missing any?
  2. I have a 22 custom, I don't like a bunch of noise, I rarely use HI. i have found you can never turn off defroster completely, I'm sure it's a safety thing.
  3. So I've got a truck camper, Torklift sells a way overpriced system (spacer) that engages the overload springs earlier, not sure what it does for premature failure of the leaf springs, but wondering what rubber (low priced) options could do the same.
  4. I believe if gm could save 99cents per truck with a smaller muffler they would! I think they are battling the EPA about fuel economy and noise reduction. GM would be happy to sell a model with straight pipes.
  5. Excelent details, been waiting for cooler weather, thanks for the heads up. it's amazing how long the cat stays hot after just a few minutes to get the truck on the ramps.
  6. I need to weld the hitch accessory while the accessory is in the reciever. I have seen people disconnect the first. wondering what people do and have experienced.
  7. It's a 22 2500hd, put 3k in the bed, she squatted about 3", im assuming it bottomed out but can't be sure. Cranked 90 psi and gained about half of the ride hight back. It rode much better than the Timberins with 3k. I was thinking the bags claimed 5k, but maybe that's how much it assists not actual load capacity.
  8. so i'm wondering if theres a way to put a t fitting somewhere and get some gas from the 30+ gallon tank for a generator.
  9. July 3rd I ordered camper tie downs front and rear, and a receiver hitch. Front tie downs showed up quickly, but they sent long bed instead of short bed. Judging by the customer service representative expletives they assumed fault an Reordered. Reciever hitch shows up with only 2 of the 50 parts, 175#'s in a cardboard box. They said when this happens they tape the box better the 2nd time. rear tie downs went from 2 to 3 weeks, then a month. Then 6 weeks and it's supposed to get here today. UPS said "failed delivery attempt " E Trailer said "damaged package " UPS says "delivery tomorrow " E trailer says new shipment in 4 days. these are heavy boxes, cardboard. This stuff is quite expensive. I'm guessing because 1/2 of the attempted deliveries fail. meanwhile we have a camper we can't use. moral of the story is heavy stuff in cardboard doesn't work well, but oh well. EDIT: turns out the 175# hitch was divided between 2 boxes, only one showed up and it was severely hanging open. E trailer worked tirelessly to make it righ At every step except the package quality.
  10. so I live in the snowy/salty side of town in the winter, I see plenty of rusted out trucks. it saddens me. So my 22 2500 HD I went with aftermarket undercoating through the dealer. a year later i'm under the truck, notice the undercoating stops at the rear wheel wells. figured i'd start at the dealership. they told me GM puts some wax undercoating at the rear wheel wells and aftermarket undercoat wouldn't stick to the GM applied undercoat. I asked how long has GM been doing that, she said forever. So we have a known non working process that stops my additional $ from solving my concern! please explain if you understand.
  11. I was thinking I would have to replace the wires and both plug ends, but I remembered I bought a set of Houdini connector releases, I will see about just changing the connector end.
