I think somebody need to get a price idea of what it cost to have the painted parts painted a different color as well, that way maybe you can trade somebody with a different color truck and have the parts painted your color. Timeswelding had the parts of his truck painted to match my truck and they were ready to go when I got there. He said the total for the front bumper, grill, and headlight trim was around $500 for him but he had a buddy discount and I already had a paint matched rear bumper.

unlikely but if can remember I will dig out my caliper tomorrow and measure them. I know on my 92' 1500, 97 ram 3500, 07 ltz 1500, and my 10 3500 sierra this was not lose like this. It was a solid fit with minimal wiggly room. Even with a loaded trailer over bumps its sounds terrible. I am a little more worried about shock loading then anything else. Just for reference I have used this same hitch on all the the vehicles except the 92

17 1500 silverado. Factory receiver

I guess I am going to have to as well. Seems stupid that it doesn't fit right. Never had the hole be to big before lol.

my receiver in my 07 and 10 fit my hitch perfect but the one in my 17 is much larger and my hitch has a ton of play (up,down, left, right) in it. It rattles when I hit bumps. Did they change the size of these from the previous years?

I thought that was someone that did a 14/15 to 16/17 swap? The hood looks like it has the same lines as the current 16/17 1500 hood.

Will that hood fit on a '17 1500 silverado without changing any other parts?

Drove to ohio to meet another member this past weekend and do a front end swap. He had all his parts painted for me before I got there since his truck was red. The grill was an absolute nightmare to take apart but it was 100% worth it.

I added aftermarket for $16 of amazon and it works good. I have ordered the factory upfitter switches so I can make it function like factory yet but I will be soon.

I didn't ask. I just told the guy to match my rear windows and he did. Looks perfect

What kind of exhaust is that. I like it a lot other then the fact that is removes the ability to tow anything.
