2018 Silverado 1500 Bilstein 5100
CKrado replied to Marshall_13's topic in 2014-2018 Silverado & Sierra Mods
Yes you can install 5100's on your current Rough Country lift. If you place the circlip in the lowest groove of the 5100 shocks then that is setting the height to factory. Then just reinstall with your rough country kit and you'll be good to go. The rear 5100 shocks are non ajustable. -
Baja Designs fog light upgrade kit for 2016-18 + 2019 Legacy Chevy Silverado's. I went with the white sport squadron lights (447536). Purchased on ebay from the link below, made an offer for $420 that was accepted. https://www.ebay.com/itm/233376576607 Recently installed the white sport lights on my 2017 Silverado 1500. Installation was a bit challenging (not because of Baja designs but because of the hardware GM used during manufacturing). Total install took about an hour from start to finish with the most difficult step being the removal of the (4) screws holding in each OEM fog light - you will want a joint socket. The brackets exceeded my expectation, made of very durable thick steel that fit perfect in the OEM fog light location. Installing the squadron lights was made extremely easy with Baja Designs plug-and-play adapter. There are no fuses, replays, or wires that need to be ran anywhere!! The lights in the sport kit came with the wide cornering lens. I tested the lights out the same night after install and was very impressed how much light lit up the ditch and tree lines to both sides of the truck. It was also raining outside, the OEM headlights and fog lights were never good at illuminating wet roads but these BD lights made the wet road very visible. Overall, very happy and pleased with this kit and would recommend to anyone looking for an easy light upgrade without needing to run wires to a battery or switch.

Morimoto HID issues 2014 Sierra
CKrado replied to AlljackedupZ71's topic in 2014-2018 Silverado & Sierra Mods
I had similar issues with morimoto bulbs working intermittently and after 3 or 4 warranty replacements I decided to go a different route and found an LED replacement option in my 17 Silverado. Good luck, ive read several posts with people having issues with morimoto bulbs and lots of warranty replacements Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk -

Baja designs has a replacement kit now that I've looked at but havent purchased yet. https://www.bajadesigns.com/products/Chevy-Silverado-16-18-Fog-Pocket-Kits.asp Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk -
I have had these for 2+ years and love them. Made quiet a big difference in my opinion. Expensive but have been worth it. In the pic, left is OEM, right is morimoto. https://www.theretrofitsource.com/d5s-morimoto-xb-hid.html?carDisplay=2017+Chevrolet+Silverado+1500+%28HID+Equipped%29&preselect=&preselect_restrict=1 Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

What have you done to your K2 today?
CKrado replied to block8head's topic in 2014-2018 Silverado & Sierra Mods
No and there never will be from those. There is only one set of fins that go into the shutter motor and those are the ones that control tell the computer when they are opened and closed based on another little tab they have on them. All the other fins just clip into place and have a plastic rail the delivers the movement from the fins that go into the motor. So when I popped out the bottom two rows the computer will never know. The fins that go to the shutter motor are the third row from the bottom.
