  1. My dealer tried to void my warranty on my exhaust because of lift. I laughed and said ok had them bring it up front drive to the dealer down the road and they said nada and fixed my issues. Same dealer also replaced my transmission under warranty with a lift...
  2. Professional hauler my well you know... facts any law enforcement can legally pull you over and ticket you for being overweight all day. Any professional will know that. And pulling 12 thousand pounds with 3.08s and a 5.3 isn’t going to be fun at all trans cooler or no. It’s not just the transmission that overheats. It’s the rear end the motor itself from overworking so now your oil temps are up. its just all a chain reaction. Also, just because you can doesn’t mean you should. Your professional towing buddy should know the brakes aren’t even setup for that weight... yep trailer brakes cool what if they take a crap?
  3. Please for the love of Moses if you even care about your transmission and rear ended don’t follow this guys advice by saying screw it. not only is that unsafe as hell its not proper. Ever see those awesome Ford raptors running down the road loaded with a toy hauler being hitched pulled and quads in the bed ass end damn near in the ground and front wheels barely useful? Yeah don’t be that guy. You wanna pull an RV either upgrade trucks to diesel, or had new gears and get some rear air as well.
  4. My 2014 came stock with 3.08s. It has a 9” lift and 35s. three years ago and one transmission taking a dump due to overheating I bit the bullet. I installed 4.11s with corrected gear ratio it’s closer to 3.73s at the time I was living in washington state and driving hills everywhere up and down mountains and coastal roads. my gas mileage actually improved. The drivability of the truck as a whole improved. Not to mention pulling my 7x12 trailer now feels like child’s play. Recently the army decided I needed to spend a year in korea so everything I own was packed into my trailer including my Harley. Total shipping weight came out to 7220ish pounds and to Texas I drove. I can tell you right now if your gear ratio is below 3.42 with tires you’re going to absolutely hate towing with your truck period... it was a night and day difference for my drive to Texas compared to from Texas. Also, unlike the drive there my transmission never once overheated and I was pulling about 1800 more pounds back home then getting there.
  5. There’s a few electrical connectors under the cup holder... I have no clue why they’d put them there and have little holes for the liquid to drain through as well. It’s possibly one of them shorted from being wet and took a crap
  6. I just put an alpine 455u in my truck you don’t have to run a single wire for this setup... I drilled a 1” hole in the side of the upper glove box cut the stock wires off the back extend the incoming Sid wand the out going side and hooked up the power straight to the stock unit and ground. No rem needed it’s remote sensing and sound hella great. Word of advise... the dash speakers are wired to the door speakers so when you amplify them the chime and everything gets really really stupid loud. It lasted a week before driving me nuts. I ran separate wires from the lines on my dash speakers from the stock unit before going into the map and this solved my problem completely. My 6x9 jLs in the doors still sound great as well. I had some bassy music on the other day when I was taking some of my PVTs to appointments and they asked if I had a sub in my truck which I don’t.
  7. Installed a new rear diff cover while I changed rear diff fluid. Alao i I put on a class 4 trailer hitch from uhaul
  8. Mine lost it at 58k. Got a free one under warranty had a whole 2 months left. They gave me utter hell as I have a lift and 35s that were installed by the dealer... I told them to pound sand and fix it or refund the cost of the lift and tires they did and pay for it with that. Needless to say say I got a new one. However, since that I upgraded my diff ratios to 4.10s from the 3.08s it had my trans temps seem to be way better. The issue is heat with these apparently.
  9. 1500 has 3 lights per tail. 1 brake 1 turn and 1 reverse. I have resistor in everything but the reverse 59w 20ohms
  10. I’m running 2 50w by 20ohm resistors on each side hooked up to the black and green wires top and bottom bulb sockets. Did id they need to be ran in parralel and only to one socket??? I see where the wires run into the bottom and back out. So should they both be tied in here together? This is getting really annoying.
  11. I have aftermarket LED tails. We just got a ton of snow here in Washington state and now I have hyperflash... so i got some resistors as the lights still work just stupid hyper. Attached to green and black did one side only and still hyper flash. Anyone have any ideas? And yes I searched the forum and found nothing.
  12. It’s hard to say on reception when I was stationed in Fort Worth I could pick up hd and regular channels just fine. Now that I’m stationed in Washington state I have trouble even picking up satellite radio. FM is a joke to unless you have zero trees around. I stream almost everything now anywaye. as for my wheels they ride exactly the same as my old setup and look way better. I had the same issue before just not as bad only when making left hand turns. I did switch from an MT tire to a hybrid as well so I’m wondering if that as anything to do with it.
