  1. I would suggest getting the truck update....you describe just how my 6 was acting, now, it's night and day different.
  2. Software - 84296469 Gracenote - 23199236 Hopefully those are the numbers needed. My iPhone is a 6+ running iOS 11.4, and to say I found it sluggish is an understatement. I actually once damned near tossed my iPhone out the window because it would not, quickly make a text for me. I did actually toss it across the cab of the truck. Shocked it didn't smash, or something. The only issue I have has since, is once CarPlay did not initialize, I needed to Reset the app on the actual phone.
  3. Have you had the truck updated? I had mine in about 2 months ago for an unrelated issue, they told me they reprogrammed everything to give me a bunch of updates. before the update I had HUGE issues with CarPlay. After the update I have zero issues. It works just as I felt it should. it's quick, and does everything i want, when I want.
  4. Found this one this winter, good for us snow belts peeps. Get to your destination and forget to shut your wipers off, and they are stuck mid swipe. Well again in the snow I find it's best to have them parked so as to not burden the motor with heavy wet snow. Anyway all you have to do is shut the wipers off even with the truck shut off, they will come back to life, finish their cycle and park. No need to put the key in and do all that.
  5. My Titan had auto down and with the key in the door turned to lock it, held would put the windows up too. That way I don't have to put the key in to do this.
  6. I almost always drive until the light comes on. I've had the truck for a year now and around 50-60KM Distance To Empty the DIC will move to "Low Fuel" and no longer give you a distance. I have driven another 30 KM, so to get it effectively to 20KM. When I fill up I have been able to get about 94 liters (25 gallons). I can almost never put much more in after it clicks off. If I try to get more than about 50 cents I run the risk of spilling out.
  7. Is accessorizing your truck something that you are currently interested and/or investing in? IF YES: What is your to top priority when choosing accessories for your truck? (Quality/Price/Look/Reviews) - Yes absolutely. I am always looking to add for either appearance or to add functionality. While the 2 are not mutually exclusive, I would not say add something purely to have "a look". For example the popular roof rack and accompanying light bars added to trucks/SUVs. While I think they look cool, and would love to have one I will not add one to have it. I would need to have a practical reason to have it before I would go down that route. IF NO: Why not? (No time/money, inexperience, no vehicle) Would you purchase something because it's priced cheaper, regardless of negative reviews, or options of higher-end, better quality products? (YES or NO) - It really would have to depend on what I was trying to do. Typically I will read reviews and in my mind categorize the negative ones. Are their reasons valid, are they looking for it to do something it is totally not capable, or are they being unrealistic. If I see the same theme reoccurring over and over, such as say bulbs burning out constantly then I will take a pass. Would you purchase an accessory purely based on how it looks? Even if that means the product does not work well or may not work at all? - No not at all. I want something that works and serves a purpose. I think my answer to question one covers off my opinion. Thanks so much!
  8. I had a Titan with a 10 speaker RF complete with the factory sub mounted under my seat. I now have an LTZ with the 7 speaker Bose. The only thing I sort of miss is feeling the base from under my seat. That said the sound from the Bose is miles ahead of the RF setup Nissan used. The sub only really thumps when you put the volume to it. <--I am more than OK with it as I felt I would have to turn the sound down to hear people talk to me in the Titan where as now I do not. I prefer the GM setup, and the sound it clear and clean.
  9. I'm like the OP, I want the clean look without the bulky clicker. Does it perform as well? Maybe it does, maybe it does not, I don't care. I can open my doors from the road as I approach, that's all I care about.
  10. WeatherTech front and rears. Awesome look, easy to install, no drilling. I would buy them again all day long and ten times on Sunday!
  11. I have a golden retriever and a 15 year old son and 12 year old daughter. Both of my kids are tall (son about 6 foot, daughter 5'6") and goldie is about 80 pounds. She rides on the floor at the kids feet. We do swap her and the way she is facing mid trip to allow the other kid to be able to stretch out. Before my Silverado I had a Titan, that had a similarly sized back seat. In that truck we traveled from Ontario to PEI (about 1500KM) with zero issues. The kids do not complain about her being back there, and she never fusses.
  12. That totally sucks. Glad you are OK, that's the most important part. I love Iridium too, would have gone with that had my FIL not already had it.
  13. First tow with the new truck. This one was taken at the water fill station just before heading into camp for the Canada Day long weekend. It sure towed with a ton more confidence than my Titan ever did. I could really only feel it back there when starting off. The rest of the time.......not a bit. I still need to figure out how much gain and such on the brake controller, and get a feel for it gear wise, but I was very impressed.
  14. You really wouldn't......but doing the mod would be all of nothing. Unless GM did it and built it into the BCM tied to the light sensor.......
