  1. Ouch. I get what you’re saying but I just wanted to make sure it was in to drive with the bad sensor.
  2. Hey guys I guess my oil pressure sensor went bad today. Throws the code p0523. I know I have oil and all that. Is it safe to drive around till I get the sensor changed? It’s really cold in my part of the country right now so I’m thinking if it’s safe to drive I’ll just do it in the spring. I have afm disabled with a Diablo sport tuner and it’s been off for most of the time I’ve owned the truck. It’s a 2008 5.3 with 155k miles.ol girl still runs strong. I just want to know if it’s ok to drive with the sensor bad. Thanks guys.
  3. I checked the fluid last night looked pretty pinkish still but I'll ask around at shops whats the charge.
  4. I've noticed theres a noticable vibration on the 1-2 shift. Gets into gear and all is fine after that. Tranny doesnt slip. The vibration mostly happens when I'm accelerating slow but not when I floor it. Doesnt happen all the time either more like after 30 min of driving. What do you guys think? I have 135k miles on the truck. Should I do a trans flush?
  5. I got under the truck and checked if anything it was broken or loose. Everything seemed fine and didnt have any play. So I went to the gas station on break put it in auto drove and turned normal. Put it in 4x4 high and it turned alot easier around the lot. Wasnt locking or anything but it felt like it should. Drove back in auto floored it. Didnt fish tail so it's working. Then I put it on 4x4 again it hard to turn again. I can turn the wheels fine it's just getting them to go. Felt like they were locking up again and I just put it back in auto then 2 wheel drive and it was fine. I'm in the mid west. Roads arent dry but they're slush with ice. I hope I dont need to do any major repairs soon. I know I need to replace my axles eventually becuase the boots are torn. I think maybe thats why it seems like they lock up in 4x4 when I want to turn. I'm no mechanic but it seemed like something was gonna break. If yall say its normal and your not really ment to turn with 4x4 on then ok. The shop that quoted me to have the axles replaced said it was probably normal. I appreciate all yalls input.
  6. Maybe. The surface was wet and slushy with ice. Was worried something thing was ****ed. I know I need to replace a axle but s shop quoted me at 750 for both. It never really did it till today.
  7. Noticed today that my truck has a hard time turning when in 4x4 high. Turns fine when it's on 4x4 auto and 2 wheel drive. Also does fine just going straight kn 4x4 high. Tried to turn and it mad a clunk sound like something was catching. But turned fine when I switch back to normal. What do you guys think and how much does axle replacement usually cost?
  8. Yea it hasnt done it since and it's happened like maybe 3 times. Mostly in slushy snow. Always when I'm turning at a light or something like that. Last time was the gym parking lot.
  9. I'm running dynapro ATMs stock size for the stock 18in rims
  10. It's a 2008 Silverado with a g80. 3.73 gears. Havent pulled the cover off but I'm thinking of replacing the diff fluid and seeing what it looks like. Did it as I was pulling into a parking space at the gym. Drove 20 minutes to work no problem. Its almost like the wheel gets stuck when it does it.
  11. Sometimes when the roads are wet I'll spin the tires at a light but I noticed that sometimes when I make a turn in these conditions the rear wheels seem to lock up or atleast one wheel. It makes like a thud sound when I keep going but then it goes away. It's only when its wet out. Is my rear end going out or is the abs or breaks just doing what they're designed to do when the tires spin?
  12. I love this new catback for my 08 Silverado with a 5.3 its loud but thats what i was after nice and deep tone. A big upgrade over just having a supper 44 welded on. The pipe starts out at 3in then to a 4in inlet and outlet to 4in pipe with a 6 in tip. All stainless steel lifetime guarantee. For the price i think its the best bang for your buck. Its louder than a straight pipe but with a nice deep tone.
  13. Bought some Gibson shorty headers for my 2008 Silverado so I'm wondering what the normal installation cost would be. I would do it myself but it looks like I'm gonna break a bolt for sure. If rather have a shop do it right in half the time.
  14. I guess I do have the g80 lol. I guess I won't try to do burn outs. I can chirp the tires and it chirps in 2nd gear sometimes. Has decent amount of balls but oh well guess I'll get me another camaro for the burnouts later. lol
  15. Tire size is stock for the 18in rim option. I'm running dynapro atms. Not sure what rear end I have but I know in running 3.73 gears
