  1. My Silverado came with the advanced trailering package and four tire pressure monitors in the glove box. Do I have to take the trailer to a tire shop to install the sensors?
  2. I'm going to take it back to the dealer and let them take a look.
  3. I just purchased a 2019 Silverado that has the safety package and blind spot monitoring in the mirrors. The driver side works well but almost half the time the passenger side doesn't light up yellow when cars pass by. Is this normal?
  4. I'm looking at a 2019 RST Crew Cab 5.3 Z71 All Star with Safety and Convenience 11 package listed for 55,005 MSRP and sell price of 43,300 if I finance with GM. What do you guys think of that deal?
  5. Are all of the kits about the same from vendors? I'm assuming I just get the normal 16 lifters and the compatible cam shaft from GM?
  6. Wow how did you get this info so quick? Thanks a bunch.
  7. I'm thinking of getting a second opinion on it as well.
  8. Well my 2014 Sierra has been making louder noises at startup for the past few thousand miles so I decided to take it in to the dealer. They called and said bad lifter and camshaft, 5k to repair or 9k for new motor. The truck has 110k on it so it's out of warranty and has always had oil and filter changed at dealer with almost all interstate driving. What is everyone's thoughts about this as well as the prices?
  9. Oil pressure appears normal but I have never changed drive belts or any bearing in the tensioner. It very well could be that, any easy way to check that?
  10. My 2014 Sierra with the 5.3 has approximately 110k miles on it and has had no major issues to date. Over the past 10-15k the truck has gotten significantly noisier after startup and also has a weird sound under the hood when accelerating especially cold. It's hard to describe the noise but it sounds sort of like a squeal and it correlates directly to how much I push the throttle. It does seem to quiet down after the first few miles driving. This noise was never there and has now developed over the past few months worse. I'm using 0w-20 oil and even switched to 5w-20 this last oil change to see if it helped. Any ideas what could cause what I'm hearing?
  11. I have a 2014 new to me Sierra 5.3 Z71 that I purchased last May. I recently towed a small aluminum trailer with two atv's and noticed some weird shifting while going down hills and letting off the gas. The truck would shift down and rev up to almost 5k RPM's and just act really strange. I took it off tow/haul and it seemed to do better but I got out of the hills about that time. Has anyone seen or heard of this?
  12. I bought a 2014 Sierra SLT certified used and am having a strange issue. Whenever I get close enough to an object parking and the warning goes off, I get a service driver assist message that I have to reset. Is there a problem or are you forced to manually reset this warning every time? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
