  1. Thanks! I have been really happy with the way it turned out. I just have some chrome to remove and I will be all set! The tires are great - I feel like it is a visually a much better balance once the level kit was installed. It feels and looks more like a "truck" in my opinion!! I opted for the 1 inch lift in the back (actually a 2 inch block replacing the factory 1 inch) to keep a small amount of rake as I tow motorbikes through the summer and didn't want to end up nose high. To me it still looks much better than the front squat that it comes from the factory with! (2.5 inch front/1.0 rear). Here is a photo the day the lift and shell were installed but before the tires were changed. Tires run pretty quiet, minimally louder than stock but with the awesome noise reduction cab almost unnoticeable unless I have the windows down and driving 35-45 mph. Definitely some rubbing - actually there was some minor rubbing after the level kit was installed before the tires were added. Due to the shaped felt wheel well liner, lowering the position of the wheel relative to the liner meant that the "equator" of the tire was now rubbing against the bottom of the liner at full lock forwards and backwards. Not surprisingly this got worse with bigger tires!! I definitely experienced more rubbing than others have reported during turning, not just at full lock. But nothing on metal, just mostly the liner and a very small piece of the plastic trim. I could see no meaningful way to move the liner enough with zip ties but 10 mins with a box cutter and some mild trimming of the lower portion on each front wheel well liner has resolved 98% of the problem. There is now just a tiny rub at full lock on the very lower inner corner of the plastic trim at the bottom of the wheel well. I will likely shave this down and I think that will eliminate 100% of the rubbing problem. Good luck. With your mods - post some pictures as. You go!! CHEERS Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  2. Some photos of my mirror upgrades. I went with the 1A Auto after market as they are available in all black (I am trying to get some of the chrome off my truck!) as a fully featured tow mirror and have slick smoked turn signals rather than amber. Fit and finish of the mirrors is decent, maybe not 100% as good as OEM, but work well with little to complain about as well as having rear facing cargo lights AND puddle lights (not available on OEM). I installed them myself and couldn't have been easier with pgamboa's plug and play custom harnesses. Worked like a dream first go around. Dealing with Phil couldn't have been smoother from his communication, to the factory appearance of his harnesses to the timely completion of the work. Drop shipped the mirrors to him for his necessary modifications and all was on my doorstep as and when promised. Thank you sir!! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  3. Finally got some photos of modifications to date........ SuspensionMAXX 2.5/1.0 level kit Nitto Terra Grappler 285/55/22 1A Auto tow mirrors Leer 100xl with Yakima rack Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  4. Finally got a couple of photos of modifications to date. SuspensionMAXX 2.5/1.0 level kit Nitto Terra Grappler G2 285/55R22 1A Auto tow mirrors Leer 100xl with Yakima rack Now just need to get rid of some of the chrome and it will be all sorted! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  5. So I had a really confusing conversation with ProRYDE. The technician I spoke with at first seemed confused by exactly what magneride was, but then went on to assure me that their leveling kit is not compatible and they don't have a relocation bracket available??!! So to avoid uncertainty I just went ahead and ordered the SuspensionMaxx level to do 2.5" in the front and 1.0" in the back. Other members have seemed to have good success with this kit and I had a great conversation with their company where the technician was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. Such a night and day difference which seems to be a consistent theme in related threads. Will put some photos up when I get it all sorted out and put together! Cheers
  6. Thanks so much for taking the time to post the photos. Your truck with the 4 inch Fabtech lift does indeed look bad ass! For simplicity right now I am going to start with the SuspensionMaxx 2.5" level and 1" in the back and see how I like it while I get the topper, tow mirrors and chrome delete sorted and go from there. Then decide about tires to get it all buttoned up! Good to know the Fabtech 4" lift is a solid option! Did it require any metal cutting or grinding of the exsisting truck set up? Cheers
  7. Helps a ton, thanks! I ran 1.5inch wheel spacers on my last truck (2008 Toyota Tundra) for 5 years and 50000 miles with never a problem! Did you add spacer for the wider look or to minimize rubbing? Front and back wheels alike? What 2.5 leveling kit were you running before switching to the 4 inch Fabtech lift? Did you like it and how was the ride? I was also surprised at the tire size on a 2.5 inch leveling kit, but the same wheel/tire combo is being reported in other threads on this forum by other members, also only reporting minimal rubbing at full lock in reverse. Seems like an inexpensive way to improve the look and maintain the ride (except for the tire differences). Lastly do you have truck photos of the 2.5 level or the current 4 inch lift? Thanks again for the help as I work out the best path to toughen up the stance of this truck a little! Cheers
  8. No worries! Thanks for clearing it up. The look and stance of your truck is perfect and if just a 2.5 leveling kit fits that size tire with only light rubbing it seems like an inexpensive and easy way to get that look! (Well except for the price of the tires!!) Thanks for the help and info while I work out the best way to get this done! Cheers
  9. Hey D-dubs Just checking, I ran this same question past you today on a separate thread and you had answered me with "ProRYDE" Just trying to clarify which 2.5 lift kit you used? Thanks for helping clear up my confusion! Cheers
  10. Can I ask you a couple of questions about the Fabtech 4": Are you using the budget lift or the uniball? What size tires are you running? Do you have a 4wd/AWD Denali? Are you running OEM wheels? Do you have any rubbing? Thanks!!
  11. Thanks! Do they have a relocation bracket for the magneride suspension? I couldn't ascertain from their website, or did you need to do a dealer relearn?
  12. Which leveling kit are you running? Wanting to add 2.5/1 leveling kit to add the same Nitto G2 tires you have. Really like the Rough Country 2.5/1 kit but just spoke with them and they don't yet have a kit to market for the AVV stamped steel HD control arms on my 2017 Sierra Denali.
