Oil filler tube, neck or whatever.
chris-i replied to SIERRA/T's topic in 2014-2019 Engine, Driveline, & Exhaust
So I got the Dorman and modified it and installed works great. Only issue I have now is the factory cap the now goes on top of the Dorman neck fits tighter then the Dorman tube. So when I take the cap off to add oil the whole tube spins. Any ideas to make the tube stop turning as easy so I can remove the cap only? Thanks Sent from my ELE-L04 using Tapatalk -
plug or not to plug frame tubes?

My undercoating guy recommended me to put them in. When he sprays the truck he removes the plugs and cleans/resprays then puts us back in. Sent from my ELE-L04 using Tapatalk -
Rear leaf spring clunk
chris-i replied to chris-i's topic in 2014-2018 Silverado & Sierra Troubleshooting
So got the truck back from the dealer they of course cleaned and greased between leafs. And they changed the insulator pads between all the leafs. Driving home there is no clunking so we will see only time will tell. The manager also said if the clunking returns they will change both leaf sets under warranty. Hopefully he keeps his word. Rear leaf spring clunk

How many times have you had your truck in for this issue for them to agree to replacement? I'm bringing mine in to the dealer for the first time, but I am not going to keep going back either they replace them the first time or I'm going to a spring shop and I'll pay to have have it fixed. No only when driving over bumps etc. Sent from my ELE-L04 using Tapatalk -
I have a 2017 Sierra. There is a clunking in the rear end I've narrowed it down to the band clamps on the driver side leaf spring are loose so the leafs move and clunk when driving. Anyone have the same issue? Should warranty cover this or a TSB? I'm in Canada if that makes a difference. Thanks Sent from my ELE-L04 using Tapatalk

chris-i replied to Escalade1979's topic in 2014-2019 Engine, Driveline, & Exhaust
So i just bought a borla xr1 40943 3 inch inlet/outlet. I obviously didnt do proper research. The stock pipe is 2.75. How do you adapt to get the muffler to fit? Do i need an adapter piece or am i missing something? Thanks for the help. Any pics would help to. Sent from my SM-G903W using Tapatalk -

I read driving in manual mode in 5 gear also prevents afm from kicking on. My question is would there be any long term damage caused by driving in 5 gear manual mode all the time except highway? Or is the range afm disabler a safer bet? Sent from my SM-G903W using Tapatalk -
