  1. These trucks are essentially computers on wheels. When your computer acts weird, you do a hard restart on it by turning off the power. After a few minutes you turn it back on and usually the weird issue is gone. I would recommend you do a hard restart on your truck by disconnecting the battery for about 10 minutes. Then reconnect the battery and see if the bluetooth works.
  2. Welcome to the site. Check the ground strap from the battery to the firewall. Make sure the strap is in good condition and the connection to the firewall is clean and tight.
  3. Try this link instead: https://vpic.nhtsa.dot.gov/decoder/
  4. You can decode your VIN at https://vpic.nhtsa.dot.gov/decoder/Decoder This will give you lots of details about your truck. Yes, it is a 3/4 ton truck. Have you tried looking at gmupfitter.com for the fuse diagram?
  5. OP, you can change your camera settings to take pics as 'most compatible' instead of 'high efficiency'. Your camera will start storing pics as jpeg then. I used Win11 Photos to convert the OP's picture to jpeg for everyone to view. Enjoy
  6. I'm running Win11. The built-in Photos app will open the file. HEIC files are the file format Apple uses for their iPhones and iPads.
  7. Here is an article about CAN Injection hacks: https://www.securityweek.com/thieves-use-can-injection-hack-to-steal-cars/ You can find a horn pigtail on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/ACDelco-PT2597-Original-Equipment-Pigtail/dp/B005OUTFSE/ref=sr_1_3?crid=26IJE84XFZE5V&keywords=gm+horn+pigtail&qid=1704896049&sprefix=gm+horn+pi%2Caps%2C120&sr=8-3 This does look like the plug in your picture.
  8. I just read the Putco installation manual for the Freedom Blade. Yes - it suggests using fuse 92 (aeroshutter) for the fuse tap. BUT - the installation instructions say "We recommend using your truck’s accessory, ignition or interior fuse. Please see your trucks user manual for correct fuse location. This fuse needs to be on a circuit that turns on with truck ignition. See table at the end of the instructions for some possible fuses." So pick another fuse to tap and then the issue will go away.
  9. Found this via Google: https://www.vehicleservicepros.com/collision-repair/adascalibrationprogramming/article/21199110/break-down-repair-steps-to-get-a-better-grasp-on-calibrations This is for a 2019 Cadillac CTS, but I think it should be similar for all GM vehicles with the surround view. Maybe print this off and show your tech.
  10. Welcome to GM-Trucks.com. Please post what year and model truck you have, and what exactly you are having issues with. There are a lot of members with vast experiences that can help you, but you will need to provide additional information so that they can help you.
  11. If forcing the wheel doesn't work, try remote starting the vehicle, then get in and press the start button. Just a thought...
  12. If the battery is 6 yo, then that would be my first guess. You could have a cell going bad in the battery. You can check the battery cables also as they could have corrosion inside the insulation and causing voltage drops. I would try a new battery and possibly new cables. With all of the computerized things on these trucks, a slight change in the voltage could trigger many different symptoms from the computer.
  13. Frustrating, I understand. Have you tried setting up a trailer profile? I have a bass boat with surge brakes and a horse trailer with electric brakes that I tow. The last time I towed the horse trailer, I got the message that no trailer was detected. I ran the trailer light test function and all lights on the horse trailer worked. I started driving and tested the trailer brake by using the manual trailer brake button and the brake gain would work. When I got to where I was going and restarted the truck, it recognized the trailer was connected. Go figure. Since your trailer has surge brakes, you should be good to go. Surge brakes will work when you are applying the brakes on the truck. They do not need an electrical connection to work. Do the lights work on the trailer when you have it hooked up? Have you tried using the trailer light test to see if they work? On my '14 Silverado, I was trying to test the lights on the bass boat during the day and they didn't seem to work. This was before GM had the brake light test. Then I realized the sensor on the dash was preventing the lights from coming on. LOL I had to put a dark towel over the sensor so I could check the lights. Don't have to do that now with the trailer light test function.
  14. Must be a common issue at that dealership if the front desk service guy had the tool right there. Glad you got it resolved.
